@@ProfessorSyndicateFranklai depends on your definition of metal astronomers call everything but Hydrogen and Helium "metals" for some reason so they are astrophysical metals(as we cringe at the poorly chosen definitions of the past)
Also fun little note is that any atom can become a metal if you can force it to have more free electrons than its thermodynamic energy balance supports. Quantum degeneracy of electrons is what causes the properties we call metals which is why white dwarfs despite being composed of carbon oxygen and neon exhibit metallic properties

I thought you'd include the part where lemurs bite and rub those millipedes to get high, I saw it at nat geo before

The only missing in the video was the sounds of the fart for each of the animals lmao

Can confirm that sonoran coral snakes will fart at you. I live in southern AZ and had the pleasure of finding one in my back yard. I put on gardening gloves and picked it up, and then it emitted sounds like a squeaky shoe from its back end; it left a residue on my gloves that smelled like sweaty gym socks. Pretty cute li'l guys.

Anyone who was ever a pre-teen boy is familiar with the accusation of "He who smelt it, dealt it". But apart from the temporal advantage that proximity and air currents may provide the flatulator in noticing the gas before others do, I wonder if there is any increased sensitivity to the chemical components of one's *own* gas. In other words, do we show a preferential sensitivity to the scent endogenous to ourselves, as opposed to other's gas?

The smell profile of your gass can change overtime, so I don’t think so. I believe it unlikely due to the fact that the producers of said compounds are gut bacteria which are diverse and probably not uniquely customized to an individual person.
