Its another 10 ports plus an army you need to dedicate to the defense of Britain. When playing as Germany and still potentially losing the sea war you risk them bypassing and isolating that army while going for Europe.leaving you stretched thin
I have an idea that might go terribly. There would be four players for Germany (and all or some majors). One for the Navy, one for the Army, one for the Airforce, and one as the leader. The others has to follow what the leader wants and the leader gets to do all of the stuff that deals with events, tech research, focuses, among other stuff.

Someone who knows how Hoi4 works, explain to me how it is at all possible for Germany to naval invade, ever. UK with just the Home Fleet and the Pacific Fleet should easily have enough naval supremacy to both make naval invasion impossible and still raid in the Med with a fleet large enough to easily destroy the Italians if they come out. That's leaving aside the fact that they can just produce nothing but submarines until '40, and stick those up in Scapa on Strike Force, meaning you don't even need the Home Fleet there, you just get to prevent naval invasions for free. Like... *maybe* if Japan brings its entire fleet over you could make the opening, but then Japan is just handing the game to the US for free.
I do not know how Hoi4 works, to any extend. But it seems the UK Player just took *all* their fleets to the Med, leaving no navy to defend. I probably do not need to tell you that having no defense at all is Indeed a bad move.

this is why Britain should go infantry only. Britain is perfect for the defensive, with a focus on the infantry you could definitely defend the coasts without the need of a navy, which would allow the navy to bomb the med without problems, then axis would have to have way to much army waiting for a naval invasion since it would have to be able to respond to anywhere in europe , which would likely leave it without enough to take on the soviets.
The problem with going Infantry Only U.K. is that you then get beaten in Africa because you have no air power and can’t D-Day because you have red air and no tanks
