    Hey Mr Innovative ,I`ve noticed that you didn`t calibrate the maxim current of the CD ROM steppers by means of formula Current Limit = VREF × 2.5 recommended.I see you directly connect the steppers into the boards and switch them on.Excuse for my ignorance but ...why did you skip this step?.THanks

      Maybe, as long as the linear drivers are stepper motors (they have four connections), and are not ordinary motors (only two connections).
      So, not all CD and DVD drivers have stepper motors. You see what it is when you look at them.

    • @MrInnovative
      @MrInnovative  Před 7 lety

      this arduino & CNC Shiled can't serve well for such big plot area, as for 3X3M CNC you must need high capacity steppers with high & precise torque there many other professional & dedicated Controller cum Driver boards are available but yes i cant deny the possibility to use arduino and this CNC shield if your stepper motors rating is below 35VDC - 2 Amps then this shield will works well.

    • @khalilsahmarany1640

    • @MrInnovative
      @MrInnovative  Před 7 lety +1

      this shield can only control motor ratings below 35VDC 2Amp, if you have selected your stepper motor check its voltage & current ratings if it fall under the safe level you can use this, my FB link facebook.com/InnovativeMr/

    • @AndersJackson
      @AndersJackson Před 7 lety

      Only if you are using stepper motors that doesn't uses to much current. You probably uses some larger motors, so you need propper stepper controllers.
      The software can handle it, so can the Arduino. But the stepper controller are probably not suited for those. As marked, they are max 35V and the stepper motor controllers (the three that are added) are only rated for max 2A or so, with good cooling.

    hi,i have built one of these cd/dvd stepper 3 axis practice cnc's,the grbl version is v1.1f,i did use the 0.9 version,but decided to upgrade the arduino IDE and grbl to eventualy use a laser,the thing is,i can't seem to get good accuracy from my cd rom steppers,the steps/mm is hard to calculate,as there are no details of the stepper manufacturer,can you tell me the steps per mm you used,i have worked the mm per revolution,but seeing as i have no idea of the step count for one revolution this would be quite useless.
    I see your videos showing fully functioning cd rom cnc's drawing with good detail,this is my first goal,could you give me some advice please.
    Thanks.

    Спасибо за информацию.
    Есть вопрос по сектчу grblUpload. Как я понимаю, это универсальный загрузочный скетч, который работает и с лазерным выжигателем-резаком и с трёхкоординатным ЧПУ-фрезером и (может быть) ещё что-то.
    У меня при загрузке этого скетча и в Ардуино УНО и в НАНО поступает сообщение о том, что "Недостаточно памяти, программа может работать нестабильно".
    Может быть Вы знаете как подредактировать этот скетч, чтобы удалить из него некоторые процедуры, чтобы уменьшить его размер.
    Например в лазерном выжигателе убрать всё что касается двигателя оси Z. А для ЧПУ фрезера убрать процедуру обработки концев, потому, что я их не буду устанавливать.
    Думается, если это сделать, размер программы уменьшится...
    В папке скетча ест файл cpu_map в котором можно переназначить пины step и dir, поменять местами оси и другие вещи.
    Я не знаю программирование, но мне кажется, что если закомментировать некоторые строки в этом файле, размер загружаемой программы можно уменьшить. Только я не знаю что именно🙂
    Можете помочь?

      3) delete any previously add GRBL library
