If Eddie gets us anywhere near the top six it will be as great an achievement as last season’s. After the catastrophic injury list - and the off field problems in January which were not down to him - he’s done a fantastic job to get us to where we are. I wouldn’t swap him for anyone else.

The main thing about Gordon is, he’s a team player and understands his role and instructions and sticks to the system. I think he’s only brushed the surface of how good he can be.

I can't believe the ridiculous improvement in the lad..his temperament, tenacity, engine and overall game is actually mental..cant tell me Howes got nowt to do with that..never cries or dives like he did either. remember Howe dragged him off and he spat his dummy out..once..he's a bloody quick learner & we adore him up here

The only people saying 'Howe out' are either rival supporters or those ignorant about the game. Anyone who knows anything understands that Edie continues to do an incredible job with one (injury/financial) hand tied behind his back.

I have not heard one NUFC that I know - and believe you me thats a lot - want Howe sacked. The only time I've seen it is from the online trolls and media. Even without the injuries a season with two QFs, Champions League footy and not fighting a relegation battle is a great season. I've seen them relegated 4 times, nearly go into the old 3rd division once and was down there through the Ashley years. The only way is up X HWTL
icl i'll hold my hands up, I did not think that he would keep us up, after that the way we play under him has got me to back him and i still do with the season we had this season too. normally a season like this many injuries for us we end up near relegation zone where as eddie howe is making us still fight for europe so i will back him.

Murphy was so diciplined today although it went unnoticed... I was keeping an eye on him just to see how he fared at RWB but I was noticing him off the ball a lot and he was doing all of the right things, he brings the energy, enthusiasm & positivity that NUFC fans thrive on.
Was really hoping he'd knock in another 2 again today.

Newcastle won't sell Isak to Arsenal. Not sure why we would strengthen rival teams. We have other players we can move on for FFP. We bought Isak for 60m. He is worth at least double that in the current market.

I think the word for these people who criticise Eddie as you say were nowhere near the ground in the bad old days of Bill Mcgarry or Jack Charlton, but have only been here since the takeover and the name for these people is walkers.

If we limp through the season to get 6th with most of the season being without 10 players that would be an excellent season. A couple of good close season signings and we are sure to be C L again next year. Eddie Howe is genuinely a great young manager and has most fans full backing.

Gordon - took half a season to settle, but during the break he won Player of the Tournament for the Euro 21s, beating Tonali, so he already showed his talent, and he’s just kept improving. Everton were lucky he was suspended for the last match against them.

Just on Isak, he has missed ten games this season through injury. Had he lkayed those, I'm confident he would have had atleast another 3-4 goals, maybe more. As far as his dribbling is concerned, if anyone hasn't seen it just watch his assist at Everton last season for Murphys goal

I think Isak has a long way to go as well, his ceiling is huge, provided he can stay fit. Looks like he hasn't even fully found his touch yet which is scary considering how good it is atm as well

Isak is a far better player than Haaland. He is more of an all round attacker that can score for fun whereas Haaland is just a top finisher & very little else.

Newcastle are still 6th and in with a chance of Europe despite THE worst injury crisis in the league by FAR! All season, they have had between 10-12 players out. When one comes back, another is out. That's no exaggeration either. Normally, teams recover from an injury crisis but not Newcastle, it's been all season. Because of this and them still being 6th despite the crisis, I think Newcastle should be feared next season with a full squad! 😳

Glad to see someone else notice how well they defended as a team yesterday Alice. I thought Eddie's tactics were spot on. Much was made by TNT before the match of the way Spurs have been playing but they pretty much nullified that. I still maintain that Eddie Howe was the best signing they've made.

The "howe out" noise certainly doesn't come from the northeast. Maybes 0000.1% of our fanbase panicked a few months ago... but howe has credit in the bank! Hes the best man for our club right now

No serious NUFC fan has ever uttered the words, Howe out. Ridiculous.
Gotta be said.. the world class players are obvious, Isak and Guimaraes are game changers sure.. but Gordon and Schär are the ultimate game changers.. times since Schär came to the castle on the hill we've been struggling within the 90 then out of nowhere our defender pops up, scores a screamer and we're suddenly blazing it. Just out of the eleven there, Barnes has barely had a season but watching him from kick off he was on it.. Spurs got distracted by his attack and spread out to catch him initially then we scored the double through Gordon and Isak but for me, the class lies in the guys that can pull the opposition away and create space.
Longstaff is a silent game changer without doubt and is so often blamed for the odd mistake, but when he gets it spot on nobody realises the impact.
Burn and Longstaff are the two men that MADE the moves that got us to a cup final.. Burn getting possession high up in the final third when there was no chance then playing rapid passes and getting through for the winner, and indeed Longstaff scoring the brace that won us our place in the final.
Too many fans write off far too many players in that starting eleven without fully focusing on individual games and positioning and indeed those are the ones that think Eddie was the reason we were mid table after the injuries that rocked the nucleus of the team.. but at the last six games we're sitting 6th in the table with a great goal difference considering how many we've conceded and I'd personally suggest when you look at the games to be played by ourselves and the teams above us, there's a firm chance we ease past Spurs and clip the heels of Villa, another team who I feel have been unlucky with key injuries but indeed who we've proven all season we've been more than capable of brushing aside.
Eddie Howe and Jason "Mad Dog" Tindall seem to have together with the board and the fans built an absolute belief, desire and passion for the players that has made everyone at the club become a fan of our own success and even watching how Amanda (the woman basically decisive in our current ownership) connects with the club, fans, players and staff and even the women's team just shows for me the passion that flows through your veins when you first walk out onto the stairs to take your seat at St James's.
Champions League football was too soon this season for a developing squad and rocked the run a bit, but next season is going to be massive.
