You would expect it to be faster than a GTE around Lemans - it’s running huge under tray aero compared to them running wings - so it has the corner grip and straight line slipperiness you need - plus the NASCAR chev donk makes about 150+ hp more than the tightly regulated BOP of the GTE cars
So why was every european saying it would be the slowest vehicle on the track for the last 5 months? The GTE's would never have a chance against a cup car
@@smudent2010 I’m not sure go ask the personal in those teams on why they said it. On paper 📝 Lemans suited/flattered the cars performance characteristics. On a shorter twisting circuit you would find the GTE superior or at least very close. You could see on onboards that the acceleration of the 56 car was better in all straightaways - accept for when the cars reached the Porsche curves and the speed was even if anything in favor of the GTE.
@@smudent2010 well nobody knew how much of a performance package they were bringing as no one really knows with any garage 56 car as it’s purely experimental, now you take the BOP restrictions out of the GTEs and I’ll bet you that brick of a car would be lapped around the 36 minute mark. They had Over 150 Hp and only 220 pounds or so heavier than the GTEs with a lot more aero gains and no restrictions and they were well prepared as they had a full of year of testing. Can’t compare that to heavily restricted GTE class car.
The nascar is just a propaganda, they give a better bop than the GTE cars to be a bit faster and say nascar is good, but is just a shi... category! Great content mate

Why are you saying GTE is GT2? GT2 is an older category, no?
Old GT2 became what GTE is today. Don't know why he had to mention that though. GT2 is used for a new category of cars since 2019.
