Gotta remember rap is still a young genre. Less than 50 years old. When it was first established, being old was looked down upon because rap was youth oriented. But as hip hop grew and matured, the big stars of the 90s/2000s started to age with it, so being older in rap became more acceptable.

Ignorance
It really doesn't matter, it's the record labels that are pursuing that narrative. They want to make it a young person sport but it's really not.
It makes sense, who wants to learn something from a older person who has a lot of knowledge and life skills, we want young and ignorant people to listen to
😂
That line was towards Tony Yayo
Tony was not 38 at the time
@rupertpupkin453 he still was talking about Yayo. The game always exaggerated his age. In the song soundscan, the game used the same line but called him 39 and even called Yayo by name.
When you're young, dumb and full of yourself 😅
Didn't he mean to say that Jay Z is rapping bad at 38? "You still rappin' uuugghhh.."
No, he was just saying the idea of rapping at that age was disgusting
He's saying u old and u suck because he was 38 witch wasn't even true because yea Jay-Z was 39 but,Jay-Z always dropped hot albums and singles then and at every age unlike the game
@@chiarosuburekeni9325how old were Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre at the time?
So its ok for game to do it but not ok for anyone else to 😂😂😂
Game even called Shyne old when he's born in the same year as him 1979
Lol I remember I heard this song recently and I was like “wait a minute” 😂
Has there ever been a more cringe rapper taking themselves seriously, than the game?
I think he meant jayz rapping at 38 and his music stinks.
But the game is still rapping too but………you know.
Na he was actually saying jayz too old to rap cause it use to be a young man sport until jayz came through and now everyone older.. also he said he was a fan of jayz music during and after that, game was just tryna get attention like 50 cent but it backfired
No, Game meant the fact Jay Z was rapping at 38 years old was gross. I am not surprised by Game's mindset on the matter when Game was in his 20s, because a significant number of people in their 20s think everything over 30 is old and gross.
His music stinks😂😂😂
One blood came out in 06
Pt 2: "Put molly all up in her drink & she ain't even know it" - Rick Ross 🤮
Game always been nice
I knew when I heard this he would be rapping past that age 😆! Listened to it the other day and chuckled to myself. Game used to be dope, fell off in recent years.
I’m sure people in their 20s think they’ll never get old
Eminem dissin Moby for being 36 years old and making music was hillarious too
"I used to think rapping at 38 was ill but last yr alone I grossed 38 mill" ‐ Jayz
"cuz rappers like Jay Z be pumpin Kool-Aid thru they veins" - Napoleon (Outlawz)
Gotta remember rap is still a young genre. Less than 50 years old. When it was first established, being old was looked down upon because rap was youth oriented. But as hip hop grew and matured, the big stars of the 90s/2000s started to age with it, so being older in rap became more acceptable.
50 Cent is almost 50, Eminem and Snoop Dogg are in their 50's, Dr. Dre is damn near 60 and they just performed one of the greatest halftime shows at the SuperBowl... The Game is just mad he fell off long before he was even old 😂
“You don’t have the skills to eat @$$ like me” Canibus 😂😂😂
I remember when he said this thinking “you’ll be 38 some day”. Times flies
Please make this go viral. I’ve been waiting for someone to call him out on that bar
This is the equivalent of a rookie Blake Griffin telling Lebron he will dominate the league when Lebron retires
I think about this line all the time, I’m glad someone finally brought it up
I remember hearing that at the time thinking "umm, so you gonna stop before you hit 38?" lol
He was young. When you’ve never been older u can’t grasp being older
It always makes me laugh when young people brag about being young as if they're somehow immune to the human experience of aging.
that game line .. when i first heard it I was like aight you better be out by time you reach that age 😂
Always remember… Everybody’s old to somebody 💯
And you are always a new comer to different stages of life as in you are always replacing someone that's been there already!!
Both were competing for diddler's diddles
he meant it as an insult... but it was actually a compliment... the game just hadn't figured it out himself yet 😅
Damn all this time I thought he was talking to Tony Yayo when he said that line
Same here
Same here
I think he was
"Hello my name is Marshall I'm an alcoholic..."
I am only 19, but my mind is old: Mobb Deep in Shook Ones Pt. II, well Havoc is 49 now, but the lyrics are against it all.
Omg him gagging with the finger in his mouth 😂 so dramaticcccc lol
When that man rhymed "Ugh", and "Dubs", I turned the whole shit off 😂
Eminem called Moby too old at 36 lol
When you are 26, 38 seems old as hell! lol
To be fair, early 00’s you didn’t have Ice T, LL Cool J rapping, so it was understood the game wasn’t meant to last long. Which is how you can tell artists nowadays are treading downward and not upward.
Eminem .. nobody wants to see a grandfather rap.. to Benzino😂😂😂
He wasn't talking to Jay-Z.....
All of us did shit like this when we was young not realizing we just gonna end up the same way it’s inevitable.
This was almost 20 years ago. At that point. It made sense. There were not many older rappers.
I automatically said “Urgh” after you said Game is now 44
Young people always think they will never get old.
Bruh im sitting here laughing my ass off because I was thinking the same thing a while back!🤣🤣
Doctors advocate came out in 06
That's how a lot of us used to think back then, even other rappers.
I’m 38 and I’m one of the best rapper still rapping look up Benny the Butcher fabulous Jim Jones, Conway, the machine its never too late😊
I hate the ageism in rap, if people fuck wit u then give the people what they want, live out ur passion 💗💯
Ageist comments always backfire. If you’re lucky enough you will get to that age that you’re making fun of
