भारत को sco का सदस्य होने की कोई विशेष आवश्यकता नहीं है। चीन और रूस से व्यापार पहले से ही है। पाकिस्तान जैसे छोटे मोटे देशों को इसमें घुसाकर चीन अपनी राजनीति इसमें करेगा। हमें sco में होने से कोई फायदा नहीं है। हमारे साथ जो व्यापार है वो तो चीन छोड़ नही सकता क्योंकि व्यापार में अभी उसे ज्यादा फायदा है। रूस भी भारत को साइड लाइन नही कर सकता है। भारत की इस ग्रुप में अब कोई विशेष पूछ नहीं है। इसलिए भारत को इसे छोड़ वेस्टर्न ग्रुप को ही जॉइन करना चाहिए , हां चीन से सीमा विवाद को सेटल करने के बाद।
