Such great memories from when I first heard there recordings of 'Operatic Duets' album when I was 18 years old and just beginning to listen to opera. They both brought an abundance of voice, musicianship and drama to everything they did. Here in their prime.
Two of the greatest opera artists of all time, without a doubt. Many exemplary opera artists sought to work with the Great Placido Domingo and vice versa. Domingo and Milnes made a lot of beautiful music together, thank goodness we had the technology to record it for posterity. When the greats insist on working with each other over and over again, who are we to complain? Not me! Mil gracias, paz y salud.
