Although this video is mainly created for fun, we're also hoping that it can provide a good reality check to potential dog owners. Owning a dog is a lifetime commiment, one that will change your life forever - in a good way - but it will also require you to take care of them every single day.

Getting a pet is the same as having a child. I had pets instead of human children,
by choice. My only complaint is that pets must leave us in average of 10 to 20 yrs, always so sad. The joy, love and loyalty they offer to us humans, freely,
compares to nothing else.
EXACTLY! That’s my fear as well - this is the first time I own dogs in my life and I don’t know how I’m gonna deal with their losses when the time comes. It brings tears to my eyes everytime I think about it 😭

Like with all things in life, enjoy them fully while they are here and remember them fondly when they pass. I believe all well treated pets love us as much as we love another human.
I've owned 3 and think of them daily just like I do of a family member. I've decided to wait (try!!) until all the Pandemic issues are over, hopefully, before getting another Pom. I sure do miss having them. 🙂
@@CeceFamily It’s not easy. Took us some time to get over our last Pom and we said “no more”. She was shy of her 16th birthday. That “ no more” lasted 8 month till a cute white ball of fur nicknamed “dawgzilla” took over. But we love him. And he likes his cool blue sunglasses

for the snuggling part i expected reality to be the dog just running away from you whenever you try to hug it but im glad it always snuggles with you, that should be a bonus :D
Aww haha yes it’s definitely a bonus! But you’re right not every dog is like that though and some don’t like to cuddle 😂😂
I have a pomeranian too. Well, having a pomeranian is such a blessing but with a lot of responsibilities as you said.

I also have 3 yo little pom, I adopted him since he was 2 months old.
Always being alert since he loves to chew rubber band, under wear, socks and money if all those things within his reach.
Whatever he did ..I can not get mad at him..he just too cute, loveable and fluffy

Aww trust me I feel you - I have a puppy fever ever now and then and wanting to add another Pom to our family but my videos kinda deter me from getting one too haha!

Very true! The best thing about poms is the Pomeranian spin! I’m convinced they do this to be so adorable that they never get in trouble for being mischievous! 😂

Hi Cece family! If you don’t want your dogs to pull in different directions I recommend a double leash, I don’t really know where tO get them but it’s a leash in one hand.

Poms are like children and demand constant attention and the planets revolve around them, nonetheless they are the most loyal and wonderful dogs, the only thing is they shed a lot other than that they are definitely worth having around.

Which gender do you think is more affectionate? I had a male pom and he was very affectionate (to me, anyway).
I think both are very affectionate in their own ways. I've met a fair share of affectionate male & female Poms - female Poms seem to be slightly more affectionate according to my observation but it really depends on the dog so meeting the Pom puppies in person will usually give you a pretty good idea of how affectionate they will grow up into. I generally prefer male just because their neuter surgery is much less evasive (Cece had a much tougher time recovering from her spay surgery compared to Boo's)

I have to ask: if I want to adopt two poms, could they both be male?
It's often recommended to adopt the opposite sex. However, I truly believe it all comes down to the personality & level of dominance of each dog, and two males can still totally get along with the right introduction, right training, and right match in personalities so I actually highly encourage you to let your current Pom meet the potential new Pom member and see if they get along before making the decision! ❤️
I actually do not have a pom at this time. Down the road, I'd like to consider two.
