    The GW-9300 is an all time classic. I also have a 9 year old one which I've done a review of on my channel also. It's taken a hell of a lot of abuse, swimming in the sea, extreme heat exposure in saunas and hit weather, hundreds of gym visits etc etc. It is still perfect. A little weather beaten but perfect. Cheers!

    I bought this exact watch in 2011 and I’ve been wearing it almost every day sense now it’s 2021. It’s the best watch I’ve ever had especially for the price. At the time when this came out it was one of the best watches Casio made.
    Also the moon data is incredibly valuable especially if you’re camping. It’s nice to be able to look down at my watch and know if when I’m camping in two days with her I’ll have a light or not. It helps me know what to expect the night I’m outside.

    Until my wife gave it to her brother.
    And I can't even ask it back.
    Perfect watch, but not the best negative display.

    Moon function on mechanical watches is mostly used for hunting. In Europe in some countries, you can only hunt at night with no artificial lighting hence the moon compilation is handy.

    The best mudman is cheap dirt G9000, no need those fancy compass thermo feature still using it from 2008!!! Got a lot beat to it 5 times strap and 3 times bezel changing and still worked just fine.

    • @BuffaloNickel9
      @BuffaloNickel9 Před rokem +1

      WRONG! Why do people say ignorant stuff like that? Get a clue.. the moon phase and compass are incredibly useful. The two most useful features on G-Shocks that people actually use. read the comments stop living in a bubble..
      no need for altimeter barometer but moon phase and Compass are the absolute most useful features you can get.
      People write ignorant things like what you just wrote when they haven't tried anything better... and are Cheapo's.
      You have no clue kid.
      The Nonsense version in this video that has the negative display and is hard to read is awful.
      But That same updated version in a positive display with a compass, multiband 6 and solar charging with the updated carbon fiber strap that won't tear when it snags or disintegrate from sweat is the best version possible... I've been wearing mine everyday doing landscaping for over half a decade and still have the same band while you change yours five times you said... Five band changes? 5 failures? come on now... that's not "the best"
      How ignorant do you have to be to say your old watch is better than one with solar charging that stays on high for multiple decades & doesn't have to have a battery changed....EVER
      The reason you say something so ignorant is because you've never tried any watch with multiband 6 or solar charging.
      Your comment is like an 1800's settler saying my horse and carriage is better than your 300 horsepower truck with air conditioning and leather seats as he sits sweating in the Summer sun on his 1-month 300 mile journey that should take 6 hours in a truck...
      Stop making assumptions. Just because you've only on owned one basic version, does not mean it's the best....
      Get A Clue, Ya Goon!
      You strike me as the type of person who thinks everything they own is the best when most of the time it's the cheapest junk or most basic option and it's the only thing they've ever tried... can't imagine how many people roll their eyes at you everyday, as you try to convince them of your uninformed nonsensical preferences of what you think's best

    The G-9300 is a great watch. I have the regular version without the multiband feature.... The sad part with this G-shock that inspite of it being a JDM model there is a manufacturing defect. I could see a few specs of dust too inside the case,🧐

      @raksh9 Před 3 lety

    Why Casio went with such a terrible display as the negative I’ll never know. It’s awful.

    • @FedericoMondelli
      @FedericoMondelli Před 3 lety +1

      Agree! It seems people like negative display more cause it looks "cooler" (even if completely unreadable). And more and more new models are released sporting negative displays (or analog dial, another big trend I don't understand) nowadays, and positive ones are scarce. I'm truly disappointed Casio, who always favored readability and utility over fashion, is actually reversing its philosophy.

    • @TheGreatest1974
      @TheGreatest1974 Před 3 lety +2

      @@FedericoMondelli I agree, I live in Britain and I had to get my gxw56 imported from Japan just because I wanted a normal ‘readable’ screen!
      Then I got silver bull bars, from China! But by god my watch looks fantastic now, I’m so pleased with it. I can’t understand the mix of analogue & digital either, it just doesnt make sense, they are almost all difficult to read either one? Either make one or the other. I would vouch for the gxw56 in positive display with bull bars it looks great. I’ve always had g shocks but I’d never ever have a negative display.

    • @FedericoMondelli
      @FedericoMondelli Před 3 lety +1

      @@TheGreatest1974 I can totally understand you, man! I'm seriously thinking about investing in two or three models right now to stock some positive screen + digital dial ones cause I'm afraid in the next years availability will be even less.
