it's okay seb i felt this way about bouncy for the longest time too (the b-sides on that album slap) but it only grew on me recently. this one however was an instant favourite idk what it is about it but ig i'm an afrobeat girly at heart

Its ok!!! I could tell it wasn’t your favorite song bc of the consistency but its ok! This song might be one of those where the more t listen to it the more you like it, but even if it doesn’t its ok to not like a title track as much as the others or at all! But I feel like this album is more focused on the b-sides and that's why I feel like it's more special its not about getting recognition it's more like a "we want to make atiny understand how we feel" especially w the unit songs

I get what you mean about the MV. This is like the culmination of the rest of the era, and they’ve succeeded their mission for now. Shits popping off and the government and Z can’t stop them now.

In the end, we saw that the halateez broke the hourglass and the moon was full red, and they are related to moving through the universes, and now we can say that the halateez were able to leave.
Overall, this is Ateez. The results are good for sure, but there is something I'm worried about... At the ending of the MV spoiler for the next one there is "Orchestra". Will Ateez come back with the ballad? what I hear is more similar to the "Answer" instrument, does anyone think the same? I will die if Ateez returns with the song Slow and melodic songs

I totally get what you mean tho. I actually think many people will feel the same about this song. It isn't bad in any means, but it hits in a different way than - for example - bouncy or halazia. More in a casual bop kinda lane. When you “casually” wanna get amped up 😂🔥
This is absolutely not a bad song by any means, I just wish they filled the instrumental more as the song progressed. More bass and layering would've increased the replay value way more.
The worst thing on this song is literally when the beat drop jumps in and you know again, this song is coming to an end🥲 i really love this song! And the whole album is a fck banger🎉

The rest of the album is absolutely fucking fire, I think this song was more experimental and an introduction to the era as you said, I definitely expected it to go way harder like how ending was ,but I love it I cannot get the song out of my head it flows well and its so fun. I love seeing them do new things ,more members got chances to shine especially Yeosang , and overall I am so proud of them, they keep showing us how they've perfected their craft and are exploring their musicality with it. This album is straight aoty in my books.

Thank you for this reaction, this MV gives off Guy Ritchie vibes & reminds you of Snatch! I hadnt thought of it before but now that you mention it i can totally see it, with bouncy too. The scene of being run over is an homage to Trainspotting (directed by Danny Boyle). The scene is the same: the guy gets hit by a car, he put his hands over the capo, and looks at the driver and laughs maniacally, and then gets decked by a guy. The cinematic universe of ATEEZ's MVs is just so fun. This wasn't the most epic song, but the video puts the stakes of the "The World" storyline in the scale it needed, and it's great for that. Snatch was a great movie, i think I'll show it to the kids, i dont think they remember it. , San for sure knew what he was doing with that glove,🤣Seonghwa looks amazing in this! They all do, but i love his fits, he looks great in the corset thing with that shirt. & he does look majestic with that spikey thing. Yeosang looks really cool too (but rly its all of them lol) but he also got more lines in this song which is good to see, I honestly thought Seonghwa's Crown of Thornes represented the Stature of Liberty, cause ATEEZ are always fighting for Freedom 🗽 and in the MV, theres BE FREE referenced again, like from Halazia and Inception 😭 Idk, i could be wrong lol. Here's my theory and my take in all this:
Is definitely a conclusion, for me Spin off: from the witness was a introduction to a new timeline and era, the EP era is over and I do feel a sense of victory in the clothes and music overall. And HALAZIA was a glimpse of an alternate time line where they appeared to have lost and it gives me a sense of soooo much sacrifice
Everytime i listen to this it get's better!

Here's the best explanation I've read to date: Ateez are pirates who were gifted that hourglass (called a chromer) which allows them to travel through time and between dimensions. At first, they are searching for treasure and having adventures, but eventually they run into these bad guys who have chains where their faces should be. The bad guys are from Dimension Z, whereas Ateez is from Dimension A which is presumably where we are as well. But there is another version of Ateez from Dimension Z called the Black Pirates (aka Halateez) who are the enemies of the no-face guys. At first Ateez teams up with Halateez to fight against the no-face guys (they are the ones in the black hats in the MVs for Answer, Say My Name, and Hala Hala). Eventually something happens and Halateez disappear (I'm not totally clear on this part) and Ateez ends up in Dimension Z instead of Halateez. What they discover is that the no-face guys are in charge of the government and they have brainwashed everyone in Dimension Z to have no emotions so that they can be controlled. Ateez sets up a subversive movement to take down the corrupt government and restore emotion to the people. To do this they use propaganda in the Guerrilla music video and chili peppers in the Bouncy music video (because apparently people can feel the burn of the spicy chilies and that helps reconnect them to feeling). They also smuggle weapons in the chilis. In this current episode (Crazy Mode mv) they need to finish taking down the government and get the heck out of Dodge. But the chromer is broken. It broke at the end of the Deja Vu music video so how are they supposed to leave? Yunho and Wooyoung are working on the pirate ship in the lab. Meanwhile Jongho and Mingi break into the lounge where the high government officials do their business and start shooting things up. They other members are being rounded up by the government but they just have to wait till Jongho kills the leader and Wooyoung wraps up their plan for getting home. If you notice that in the beginning scene there is a crescent moon and in the final scene a full moon. Ateez can only travel on the full moon. In the extra scene at the end you see the full moon, but the pirate ship and presumably Ateez as well are gone even though they left the broken chromer in Dimension Z. In the song Halazia, Yeosang has a line, "little blue bird that list it's voice." I think they are using this as a metaphor for the people that lost their emotions (if you examine the other lyrics of Halazia). At the end of Crazy Form, you can clearly hear the bluebird singing as it takes to the sky. I assume this means that the bluebird found its voice and the people found their lost emotions. But without the chromer to help them travel will they be able to get back to Dimension A or will their new ship take them somewhere unexpected?

In Halazia, when we expected the drop, there wasn't one. Instead it kind of leveled out for the first part of the chorus before building into Jongho's lines. Crazy Form feels like an extension of that--like they wanted to see how long we could wait for the change. And we don't get much until the bridge which also feels unexpected because it slows down when we've been waiting for it to go harder. When the change comes it feels like the 30 second power ending we all love except then there's another dance break leading into the true power ending. The song literally has a crazy form. It's kind of brilliant.
It's so outside the norm that I had to listen to it five times before I stopped expecting the drop that wasn't coming and was able to enjoy the song. I really like it now.
