In kontakt, we can update sample or purge, how about musio? How to do that?
Upper register in violins sounds really good. Often things get synthy for many strings up there but this one sounds quite goods. Mid range has a bit too much vibrato for my taste..

What do you think about Adastra?
Don’t own any 8dio/Soundpaint stuff!
The demos sound interesting for hybrid and experimental genres (especially at that price) but for more traditional usage I wouldn't buy it.
Adastra came from Adagio or Anthology. Great sounding libraries.
Good sound but I am not convinced by the legatos at all for this one. Legatos have become too important to achieve realism and I believe this library just doesn’t match the last Spitfire libraries or CSS.
CSS is definitely still the king!
Agreed. That may be why they're offering it as a Musio expansion and not as a standalone library. Nothing in the current version of Musio is as sophisticated or performant as the Kontakt counterparts, but the samples are light enough to use quickly on any laptop but detailed enough to be useful on the go or in collaboration. Like the difference between email and postal service, or Netflix vs. Blu-ray.
I think CSS has WAY too much vibrato.

Keyswitching? You must have the beta?
I have the beta yes, but haven't looked into the keyswitching yet!
@@ChristopherSiu they just released a video today about it, so seems like it should be out pretty soon. I don't use it a ton, but for certain things it's really helpful. I'm glad they announced it a while back though because I was about to start down a path of making a work around based on using MIDI channel "keyswitching" and Cubase Expression Maps. Glad I didn't waste a ton of time.

I don't think that's really the point. The point is to make their library much more accessible both in terms of price and ease of use. If you already have all or most of the Cinesamples line, Musio isn't really that great of an investment. There is some new content and there more coming, but it sure looks like they are moving away from Kontakt. They have had all their Kontakt stuff on deep discount for quite some time now.
