You can get a f2 before the 12 string for a little more damage. Also you don't need to meter burn db3 to combo afterwards when the axe is down.

Side note that makes no axe shao even better. DB3 can now launch meterless

This is pretty helpful, i need to add this to my moves. i also find it a bit funny the title of the vid is the axe, shao uses an axe but you keep saying "sword". XD

How do you throw them on the axe? I did it by mistake once ( just bought the game) and I don't see the notation in game.
Down and forward 2 but you need to be relatively near the axe to do it and can also be enhanced for more damage. Timing is a little forgiving but still best to practice. Easy combo to try is to stay in axe mode and do standing 1 into standing 2 then the slam down forward 4 to go into no axe and quickly press 2 once then do down forward 2 the opponent should be juggled in the air still and should be able to grab them. Pretty simple just some practice. For reference.

@@XxMasterxxOfxxEvilxX Thanks. i figured it out a couple of hours ago. nice combo mechanic, but based on how slow he seems to be, I'm wondering how good he is against human opponents. I'm not ready for online matches yet.

Honestly i think his EX df4 should extend the time and/or launch, as it is now it isn't even faster frames just 50 extra damage.
