I don't know who I feel sorrier for: you two for sticking with it for so long, or the poor dog, who has been so neglected and was so frightened. I hope the owner brings him back and the dog feels more confident with you and his face can be cleaned up and he can be bathed!

It's great to see the dog looking around at things that he has not been able to see for years. He was not really aggressive, but defensive, he was frightened and had no idea what you were doing to him.

Thank you for all that you do to help the Dog community and your kind way of going about it because I wouldn’t have been so kind with the owner. Not only did the owner lie to you but his condition is definitely at the fault of the owner because I have a dog with hair and if you bathe and brush regularly that doesn’t happen yeah you might get an occasional small mat that you just snip out with a scissor. That owner is lazy and neglectful🙄😢😒😡

Thank you for changing this dogs life. It was a lot for this dog to go through in one session. Maybe with severe cases like this it’s best if the dog is groomed in multiple sessions. Hopefully the selfish owner is grateful and keeps up with regular grooming and bathing.
Even though he was aggressive at first, shortly after starting the groom he knew you were trying to help him. He still had moments but it was driven by pain

Alot of owners don't understand a dogs coat and matting of the coat. This dog is so good on the table without any form of belly strap or other tools. He is just shutting down.

That poor dog. It took months if not years of neglect for him to get in that condition. His owners were lazy or indifferent to his welfare. It looked like you were shearing a sheep and not a dog. As for the “owner”, ge should be fined for animal cruelty. The only dog he should be allowed is a picture of one.

Yes, health issues are definitely a concern. Many groomers retired during COVID and it was impossible to find the right one who would consider my dog’s needs. So he got matted. A person shouldn’t be punished for difficult circumstances. Most groomers won’t let you stay even when you know your dog best and that’s not acceptable. Wish I lived near you!
