In mid forties, my grand dad used to visit Tibet quite often on foot. He had amazing stories about Tibet particularly about finely dressed huge stone boulders in bridge fronts

Except, you cannot travel freely in Tibet as a tourist. You are required to obtain a separate visa for Tibet along with a designated travel agency printing out your itinerary which you must follow or be removed.
