    I have an old 6.2 squarebody I use for work every day. I swapped a 6.5 turbo kit on it and an nv4500 and man that truck puts a smile on my face everyday. Everybody hates on the old 6.2. i drive 75 every day getting 20 -22 miles a gallon hauling 6k or empty.

    Nice work, what lift are you running to clear 37" tire ?

    • @forrestmartinez
      @forrestmartinez  Před 7 měsíci +2

      6inch lift leafs with a 6 inch shackle flip in the rear. And it does have 5 inch drop shackle hangers in the rear of the front leafs as well that bring the front end up another inch or so. With this setup you could easily fit 37-38s. Possibly a 40 with the right clearancing in the front.

      On my 77, I have 4" Ranch front springs, a 1½" longer front shackles, the rear is a 4" shackle flip. I used factory length rear overload shocks on the front from the 77, the rear are factory length from a 97 K2500 with the overload coil springs. Using real shocks as opposed to the dampeners make a huge difference in ride height and ride quality. Mine has 37x12.50 Goodyear Wrangler and clear easily
