- The Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks faced off in game five of their first round matchup on Tuesday, a matchup that has already delivered us some of the best playoff moments of the last few years. Between Jalen Brunson heroics, Joel Embiid dropping 50, and amazing moments from role players, this series has had everything. Especially when, after tonight, the Sixers have somehow stayed alive to force a game six behind the unstoppable play of Tyrese Maxey who single handedly saved the franchise's season. There aren't many series in recent history that have been this electric, and there's still at least one game to go. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks fought back against the Indiana Pacers with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard's returns on the horizon, and, despite Paolo Banchero's best efforts, Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers took a 3-2 lead on the Orlando Magic. Let's talk about it.

as a knicks fan, i never wanna play against tyrese maxey again
Maxey I can handle. It's like watching great players that beat us in the past, like Jordan or something. Great competition and even better performance that you can remember for life. Such performance is better performed in MSG than other places.
What I can't handle is Embiid. Such disgraceful acts. From body language, complaining to the ref, dirty tricks, etc.
Sure, some Knicks (Josh Hart, I'm talking about you) complain to the ref too much, and that sucks as well, but Embiid is just whole another level. He is becoming least watchable player in my life time, becoming Bruce Bowen's dirty moves + Draymond Green's antics + Lebron's lack of accountability and excuses.

Maxey is the most electric player in the league, most fun to watch for sure. One of if not the fastest player with the ball in his hands, great finishing, awesome shooter, always smiling, great work ethic, huge heart. How can you not like Tyrese Maxey
This series is so fresh, Two New Potential Rising Superstars battling each other having Jordan-Steph like playstyles. Two teams battling each other for the first time each 1989. Very 90s style defense along with 2010s offense blended together well. This is my favorite 1st Round Series so far this year's playoffs.

let's be objective about this, even with randle healthy, embiid would wipe the floor with the knicks in this series if he wasn't handicapped and was able to jump, no mid range or rebounding he's basically a shell of himself
I’m proud that I was one of those fans that absolutely hated a Maxey-Lillard trade from the start. This potential has been in him since his rookie year and us in Philly have always see it.

Joel Embiid wasn’t bad he still had a triple double. But like two years ago against the Raptors, he didn’t play good, but he still had a good game.

Did u watch a single game without embiid this year 😭 it was horrible. Why would you trade your best player? Yea maxey played better this game but we see the impact of Joel on both sides of the ball. He is the most impactful playing in the nba. We can’t even last a minute without embiid on the floor so what makes you think we could last a season. We would be a lottery team.

Watch Embiib before Maxey's game tieing shot. THAT is a moving screen. Not a sorta kinda leaner, but an obvious 2 stepper. Deuce, instead of attacking that moving screen like Lu Dort, runs around it, can't reach Maxey in time to foul before a gather, Knicks lose.
Dort would have done what he has done over and over, taken the contact, forced a whistle, the moving screen was obvious, Knicks win.😊
