The Takara (more G1 accurate) Version of Bruticus is Bruticus
The Hasbro versions are characters from the Rocky movies.
The Dark Spark is something that can open portals to alternate universes. (That's what happens when The Stallion (Hasbro Bruticus) is punched through the portal. (Watch end credit scene of Episode 6 of Prime Hunters to see that universe)
And honestly any other confusing things should be clarified in Combiner Wars Parts 1-3
