Back when James would _really_ raise his voice. His anger felt more genuine in the older episodes, in my opinion. He was also younger, so he sounded more angsty.

Best way I can describe it is that before he was pretending to be angry, but now he's pretending to pretend to be angry. It makes a huge difference in the quality.

@@TheVideoMaker1999 On one hand, a family is a big deal and he should definitely put their safety before anything else. However, on the other hand, many CZcamsr's have families and they get by just fine. So while having a family is a valid point that should be taken into account, it can't really be used as an excuse for incompetency.
What's actually going on here is that James is getting old, CZcams has stricter policies against swearing in videos, and also James ' confoundingly inconvenient ways of doing even the simplest things. It's unfortunate, but the old AVGN is gone and will never come back.
I get the "ban all shoes with laces" concept in the Campaign game. I remember that velcro shoes were really taking off right at that time. Roos, especially, were huge, and they all had velcro.

I was born in "81, and this system was my earliest memory of playing video games. The smurf game tbh was one of my favorites. Also towards end of video I noticed carnival , when you have to time shots to hit these cows as they go across across screen, change direction and get faster after each hit. Also donkey kong jr, was shown. Great memories for me. I inherited this system from my grandma.
I think that a gaming console connected to a dishwasher would be a good idea.
Every level you pass allows it to wash the dishes for 30 minutes.
The only game you can play on it is "Dishwasher Adventure", set in the year 2XXX, you're a talking dishwasher named "T-Plate" battling atheists from the planet "Crooble".

+michael hall (Rwanime442) according to Wikipedia that's because Coleco Industries used parts that were not exclusively manufactured for Atari, so technically anybody could legally reproduce 2600 and sell it

@@yarpen26 Coleco did make an Atari 2600 clone, it's called the Gemini. There are probably a few other Atari 2600 clones around, not counting the Sears branded 2600s or the "Sears Video Arcade II" which came before the Atari 7800 which reused the same kind of casing.

I don't know when this video was originally posted, but there is a 4th module for the ColecoVision. I don't know when it came out. It adds more memory and such for newer games. ...and yes, there are new games for ColecoVision. I got Battle of Hoth which is only a few years old. Module 4 isn't required for this one. It's basically a CV version of Empire Strikes Back for the Atari 2600. It's not a straight port though. The programmer added a TIE Fighter attacking from above, and there's a way to use a grappling hook on the walkers. I haven't quite mastered that yet. You can also fly the Snowspeeder back to base for repairs.

Ive got the Australian colecovision and if you thought the american ac adapter was big then you have seen nothing, the Australian ac adaptor is bigger than an NES top loader console but it actually ends in a cord like the atari 5200

Graphically, the Coleco Vision seems pretty damn advanced for it's time. It's almost comparable to NES graphics. Sure, the controller sucks, but in those early times, there wasn't really an estabilished trend (did you notice that most modern controllers are based on the Dual Shock?), so at least they were willing to try new things. The Atari 2600 controller was simple and effective, but it wasn't very creative to be honest. Overall, the ColecoVision was a very impressive console for it's time and would certainly become one of the classics if it wasn't for the poor timing of it's release. You see, it was released only a year before the video game crash of '83, which struck the console down before it could reap as much success as the technologically inferior Atari 2600, which survived the crash due to it's popularity and lived on until the 90's. It's a real shame if you ask me. Today, ColecoVisions are more or less collector's items - they sold only around 6 million units, so it's kinda rare. They're definitelly more expensive that the Atari, for example.

I used to love the Smurf game and Zaxxon for Coleco. I remember flenaggeling a system from my friend at the time when people couldn't get rid of them fast enough. I was dying laughing at his description of that power supply. I used to do the super safe plug in mode of plugging in the plug into an extension cord then into power strip.
The Smurf game, I own that on Atari 2600, and it was distributed by CBS over here in Europe, where they also distributed the Colecovision... though obviously the Atari version is much more simplistic, there's just a bunch of field themed screens, a cave, a mountain one, and then the inside of Gargamel's castle to go rescue Smurfette, and the game loops over and over.
Colleco was better. And such a catchy theme. It's in my head for life.

i fucking loved my colecovision. also, i had that smurfs game, and it is so hilariously bad. you just walk right the whole time to cheery music, but if you touch anything, like a piece of grass, the music stops abruptly, and you just immediately fall over dead in complete silence. it was so goddamn funny to me as a kid.
Looper was fucking fun. Frogger, Zaxxon, and Ladybug were all really good games too.
