This video is dedicated to my sweet Shih Tzu Marnie who crossed the Rainbow Bridge Monday 9/19/2023 at 7:15 am. She brought so much joy to our family for 12 years(she lived nearly 17 years, but we rescued her when she was 4, almost 5) and our hearts are forever broken. "Grief is the price you pay for love". I am so sorry for your loss. They are our babies ... when I lost my Flatcoat Retriever I had to deliver a training course to brand new staff the very next morning. It was actually the best thing for me to do. It is just heartbreaking though ...

Bless your heart! I am SO sorry for your loss sweetie. People say "It's just a dog" never had an adored pet that was their fur baby. You take however long you need to grieve for your fur baby! There IS NOT a rulebook on grief. Whether its for a fur baby or for a lost human in your life! Ugh. I have been through 2 losses this year 2 and a half months apart and ugh. I lost my sister in May and my mother-in-law the 1st of this month.. she was also my DEAR FRIEND. Grief fog is REAL. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 for you sweetness.

Hey, you never need to apologize for mourning a fur baby. They are family to me (and to be honest, why have them if not 🤷🏼♀️) and you do whatever you need. I did this too when I lost a loved one. Work just kept me moving then I could process when I was ready. You are keeping me company on a day I am feeling very sick - even took the day off. So I enjoy spending the afternoon just talking makeup with my friend when sipping ginger ale. 💗

It is so so hard when we lose our doggies, at 75 I have lost 3 over the years and remember them all but there is always one special one in our lives. If I lost my current fur baby I just couldn’t cope they give us unconditional love, don’t judge us and just bring joy, remember the joy, and the crazy things they did, ❤ to you.
I am so sorry for your loss of dear Marnie, Risa! I really like your phrase 'Grief is the price you pay for love'. I, too, had a dog that lived 17 years and I adopted her from the pound when she was 4 or 5. She enriched my life so much and her loss has put a hole in my heart. I hope your many memories of her help you with your grief. Remember the good times, my dear. Thank you for another of your informative videos trying new makeup. I appreciate that you try the products to help us with our decisions in makeup.
Risa, I have grown to appreciate you more and more. One of the things I pay particular attention to is how reviews are done on items “sent to”, or incentived in some way. I find myself strongly pulling away from those that have an inability to stay unbiased, or are simply too weak to actually say they don’t like something that someone “gifted” them. In addition, the amount of times social media is “buzzing” over how amazing an item is, that is actually mediocre at best, is significant, so please NEVER apologize for disagreeing with the herd. You are getting to be an increasingly rare breed. Thank you!
Risa, I lost my Shih Tzu siblings at 13 and 16 and I was completely gutted. I sobbed for days and took some time off as I couldn’t get through an hour without crying. It’s heart wrenching. After awhile I felt ready for a new family member and we have little Max, a tricolour. They are such an amazing breed! Allow yourself the time to grieve. Sending hugs ❤❤❤❤

Risa I am so so sorry about your baby! No one can tell you how or when to grieve or when is the best time to get another pup. I’m so happy to see that you rescued your fur baby! I’ve been involved in dog rescue my entire adult life and I have learned…one dog doesn’t replace another but they are all so special in their own way and they need us!!! Currently have 3 pit bulls and I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world. You are such a precious person Risa!! Sending you love and hugs!!!

Wish more people said the thing about color matching!! So many times I get matched to either the tannest part (forehead), my chin hyperpigmentation or my dark circles, which all make the overall face seem deeper. The proper match is the palest part of my face (usually cheek) that matches my chest.

Risa I just wanted to say my heart is grieving alongside of you over the loss of my sweet boy Archie. He passed a month ago and I'm still struggling without him. I've loved and lost many over the years but some are just harder. Sending you and your family virtual hugs.

Our dogs are with us for only part of our lives … but we are their whole life❤.
Our dog passed away in August. He was 12 1/2. His picture is on the Buffet in my kitchen, and I look at him all the time.
We know how you feel… It’s when you come home and you’re walking to the house just seems so quiet ..
Ask yourself “did he know he was loved? “ . If you can answer yes to that question…. Then he has been loved his whole life.
I want you to feel good about that .
When you’re ready, get yourself a puppy and start a new chapter in your life as well as providing a puppy a lifetime of love❤

I feel for you girl, our babies don't stay with us long enough. My dachshund Rusty was 14 years old and recently passed away from heart trouble. I had adopted him from the dog shelter at 7 mos. and he had so many problems, but that little sucker bounced back every time! He was simply amazing. I still hear him, isn't that funny, and it warms my heart. It takes awhile to adjust, and please do what's good for you.❤❤

I find that I prefer to work and keep my mind occupied rather than have too much time on my hands to dwell and cry. Oh Risa, I’m going through the same loss of my beautiful German Shepherd, Bubbles. I made the heartbreaking decision to end her suffering at 14-5yrs from degenerative myelopathy and subsequent kidney failure just last Friday (13 October 2023). I realised that I would dedicate my daily makeup applications to her honour as they are my favourite time of the day which are mine and mine alone. I still have teary moments (which can be tricky while making up!) but it’ll be something I’ll be doing forever and I want to remember my cherished girl in this way. My heart goes out to you x

She was my grandparents dog and after my Grandma passed in 2002. We inherited her. At that time she was already 14 yrs. We had her another 3.5 years. 17.5 years our beloved Westie was here on earth. She blew all the life expectations out of the water.

I can empathize with your pain. I lost my soul mate, Delilah, from kidney failure on January 12th, 2022. It's been a year and a half, and I still mourn her daily. It does get better, never easier. The first few months I was so exhausted from being sad, I just wanted to be happy again. I watched a lot of videos from people who speak to pets that have passed over. Awe I'm so sorry for your loss of your sweet furbaby. I've been there numerous times. They are an extension of our family. You just show how real you are by sharing this with us. I've found whether I've lost a furbaby or other loved ones, it's best for me to get back to work because it's easy to go to a darker place. I know both my mom and dad as well as other family members that passed, would want me to continue living my life while still carrying their memory in my heart. Your tutorials are amazing! Hello Risa, I am sorry for your doggie loss. I empathize with you. I am a dog lover and over the past 25 years have always had 2-3 dogs at a time. They bring so much joy into our lives but when it is their time and if they are suffering we can help them. After your grieving period, try to remember the good times and funny things your dog did that made you laugh. It will help, I promise!
