Furthermore, the ships were not designed to "kill directly" like guns do, their goal is to disable enemy ships and not necessarily killing the crew. In fact, what they did in war was to shoot enemy ships until they are unable to fire, which then the enemy will give the order to abandon ship and evacuate, in the most ideal case, the ship is destroyed with minimal casualties and the battle is won. In the worst case, like a magazine detonation, then of course all crew on board will die.
i would rather see them sink in batlle than to be a test subject for testing nuclear weapons
