In this video I review the XTM211Di Multi process welder from Parweld. I've got to tell you..I'm impressed! this great little welder has massive capabilities and would be at home in a commercial or home workshop environment.

Nice video! Looks like an ideal machine, especially the buttons on the torch are very handy.
I hope the noise of the cooling fan is not so loud as on the video.
    Thanks for the video!

@@MakeItMetal thing is i do like my jasics as the water cooled stopped arcing the other week so dropped off on Monday evening and had it back on Wednesday lunch. My esab went faulty after 6 weeks and duly went in the bin after 8 months being messed about 😪😪

Hi Jason, great video and about to watch the others in the series, it really is helpful so thanks for doing them. How has the Parweld held up and has it got a lot of use? Cheers 👍

Really struggling to decide between this and an R-Tech 210ext ac/dc tig then maybe a separate mig in the future. I saw you had a 210ext a few years back for review, would you say there is much difference between the two minus the extra ac tig settings. I see the Everlast 210ext get great reviews in the USA but the R-Techs are just built in the same factory from what I see so shouldn't be much different.
I mostly tig weld stainless but would like to expand into ac for alloys and mig in the future. My daughter is currently doing an apprenticeship in welding and this covers all the processes she will be learning where as the R-Tech wouldn't have mig. Just wondering of the tig is that much better than the parweld or fairly comparable.
    Thanks.

The R-Tech 210 is a great machine , the one i reviewed is actually a 260amp unit and it gets used in my shop every day. brilliant ac/dc tig welder. The Parweld is also a great acdc tig welder but it wont keep up with the R-Tech due to duty cycles. Combination machines generally sacrifice duty cycle, they are great to own, make a massive space saving but you wont be welding for 8 hours flat out on one. If you are looking for a welder for the home environment the the parweld is perfect.

@@MakeItMetal thanks for the reply, much appreciated. This will be a home machine for practice and smaller projects so sounds like this might be ideal. I have a lincoln invertec 220tpx at work which is a fantastic machine but no ac or mig obviously so this will be nice to expand my skills and my daughter should get provided a welder when she goes to company next year hopefully. Its really difficult to find many reviews on these so your videos have been great. Now to save up for one lol

Hi Jason, really glad I came across your review, it showcases it very well, I'm looking for an inverter mig set really at the moment but thinking might as well have DC Tig as well , then saw this with AC Tig and thought well that would be even better (getting carried away!!). Quality looks really good and three year warranty is amazing. Just wondered if you had used it much since this review and had any issues with the 25% duty cycle ? I'm torn between this and the tecarc multi 200i which doesn't have AC Tig but is a fair bit cheaper and 'uk made', although I'm sure it's all made using Chinese components anyway, has a 60% duty cycle at 200amps. Just wondered if you had any experience with the Tecarc inverter sets ? I know my uncle has had a Tec arc mig set for 30 years that's had a lot of use but we all know how quality can change over the years. Anyway thanks for doing the review very helpful and really like your channel 👍👍

Hi Andrew, thanks for your comment. I used the parweld primarily for automotive work but i have had occasions where it has been taken out on site (indoors) when i've required more than one process...tig welding aluminium parts on wagon trailers and mig welding chassis etc. for me this set is perfect, it does everything i need it to do and more..the bluetooth control has come in clutch many times. I've not used any tecarc sets but i've also not heard anything bad about them. The 25% duty cycle is a compromise and ideally i would love to see that increased to 60% but it really hasn't been an issue. The parweld has never let me down. i run an Esab rebel 320 amp for heavier work (my shop is light industrial) which in itself is a great all rounder but far more expensive. Basically the Parweld XTMi is a great all rounder that condenses the initial cost that buying separate welding plant and takes up a lot less room.
I hope you get the best welding plant for your needs. Thanks again. Jason

@@MakeItMetal Hi Jason, thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensive response !! I really appreciate that mate. It's really valuable.. I've found this price range a nightmare because it's enough to get a top brand set that has more basic functionality, yet also enough to get a set like the parweld which is really capable and I suspect is probably not far off as reliable but doesn't have the pedigree, Your review carries a lot of weight for me though, given how much work you do and your vast experience and I tend to think if you rate it then that's good enough for me. Only issue I'm having is trying not to get caught up in numbers that probably won't affect me like a 60% duty cycle Vs the 25% when my usage is only relatively light.. Then the AC Tig drawing me in even though at the moment I've no use for it 🤣. The other set I'm toying with is the Bohler Uranus 2000 SMC, seems a very good set but doesn't have AC Tig. Will come down to picking them out of a hat I think haha. Anyway thanks again, thanks for the videos also really enjoying them

Unfortunately the 6yr Warranty is only valid if you sign up to the service plan, which means paying for (and sending your welder to the midlands) for yearly check-ups. That goes for most warranties, but you should add that to the cost of your welder when comparing. Ie. +£600 for your 6 years. Bear in mind these welders aren’t made to last - they are made to sell like hotcakes.

Which welding set would you recommend i buy? I thought this one from Par weld did quite a good job. I have sets that cost £8k + in my shop and this one is comparable in terms of weld quality and duty cycle. I'm not suggesting that this set should be used in a production welding environment and at the price it is set it aimed at the Garage/ more advanced hobby welder. The point you make about the Warranty is valid, however the 3 year standard option is still worth while. I look forward to your reply. jason

Bear in mind these welders are not made to last - they are made to sell like hotcakes. And each year they find ways to cut costs, or bundle cheaply made accessories. Their strategy is to encourage more bodgers to try welding at the end of the day. It’s just for us to decide whether we want to be a welder, or a bodger.

Generally it's a no quibble 3 year warranty as if this lasts years which it will as of the 3 year warranty then its payed for itself . Lincoln give a 2 year, Esab 205 at 3500 quid give 3 year but most I read about pack in within 2 to 3 months so bargain I say. Not many manufacturers can guarantee their inverters for more than 3 years as all pretty much all made the same from China and so are Esab now so I guess its up to the consumer whether you want to pay for the name or not. Only 3 I would consider after this is Frionius, EWM is Lorch .

Mot station or college that your all bodgers and not welders if your welder is from China 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@MakeItMetal I was making the point to the other fells who was saying unless you use a big name your a bodger. Nothing wrong with them as i have 4 and i tend to go with support over anything else as under 2k there ain't much to separate them. I currently have Esab 205acdc and I tell you the parweld is just as good for a fraction of the price
