as expected, Ben is self-centered again. i honestly don't care if he wants to hide his sexuality because that's his choice (and pretty reasonable enough if he tried to cope with his past trauma), but you can't just shut Callum off. man, you're not the only one hurting, scared, and has been through trauma because Callum is too! stop making Paul as an excuse to be an ignorant jerk. i thought he learned something from his deafness, but i guess everything just vanished after he got his hearing back. at this point, i just want Callum to lash out to show his 'dark' side and (probably) self-harm to get Ben's attention on how much Callum's been hurting. also, why does Ben have to be so surprised when Callum proposes the idea to get a divorce? it shows that Ben loves Callum but somehow always tries to push him away in a grand plan to protect him. i think Callum knows the consequences once he decides to come out, and Ben didn't have to treat him like a weak lad. I'm just hoping that they will get the chance to talk about this whole thing to save their marriage and themselves from their own trauma. we're going to get their 1st anniversary soon, so please just stay together, both of you :(
I get Callum's point of view that they shouldn't have to hide and I agree in a perfect world no one would have to hide but we don't live in a perfect world. So I agree that Ben has a right to feel the way he does. Everyone wants to fix Ben but no one is actually listening to him and I think it's kind of brave of Ben to put his and Callum's safety before his own happiness. I am not saying that I think gay people should have to hide, I am just saying that what Ben is doing is understandable
