I think it's a lovely top, especially once tucked in or cropped.

I trooped off to the charity shop after seeing the episode last week too & found a lovely blue & white striped tablecloth but like you spotted that there was an error in the pattern where it tells you to only cut 1 bodice piece, luckily i didn't start cutting into it! I ordered another off vinted which arrived today & listening to your comments I think it will be too heavy - not having much luck but have plenty of other projects to keep me occupied!

I love your Adelaide top, says the Australian girl who lived in Adelaide until she married her farm boy.

I don’t get the sewing bee where I live. I do have vintage table cloths I want to sew! This video was excellent and so is your top! Thank you❤

I love what you did with those tablecloths, the placement was really good & I love how the check went well with it. I’d probably chop the red bit off too 😊

I very much like the contrast tablecloth you chose. It provides interest and texture but allows your grandmother's tablecloth to be the star. The contrast tablecloth would be great for a visible neck binding but I am not sure it is worth taking apart your make. Good call to narrow the pattern.

Hi Sam. What a fun process. I like the result with the stripes, and agree with you that cropped would be better. I used to love dropped shoulder jackets and tops when I was young -- they seemed so much more comfortable and relaxed.. Now that I'm old, I find they pull on my shoulders and that pulls on my neck, so they are horribly uncomfy. I'm currently working on a Moss jacket (Helen's Closet) and having a heck of a time modifying pieces to avoid pain. The back yoke is going to be stretchy velour, the sleeves are going to be shaped at the top and redrafted for forward shoulders, the front bodice is going to have some fabric cut out for the arm, and the all-around collar is also going to be velour for the stretch. I'm on version 4. Congrats on tackling this pattern and only needing one trial version, Antonia

Why am I not surprised that your made a blouse out of a table cloth. You are always so clever and able to make garments out of home dec items. I'm not sure that pattern is for me, a little too boxy, but with the adjustments you made I think it looks really cute on you. And how fun to remember times with your Auntie when you wear it. This week I channeled my inner Sequingirlie and cut up some of my tops that no longer fit (shrunk in the dryer, oops) or tops I made to try out a pattern and just don't like the fit. I made new tops out of them for my granddaughter. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.

Thank you so much for alerting me to the fact that the patterns were available online. I fancy using one of my tablecloth collection to make the top they made but baulked at paying £20 for the book for one pattern but now I have it. Yours looks great, the colours really work and I love that it has sentimental value too :)

Hello I might be doing something wrong but when I print the pattern out only one page prints with all the pattern pieces on it I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Thankyou
