I was in a position like that yesterday and it actually worked! I turtled with pavium hard and kept stripping their bases from afar with the orbital designator/rain of fire 3 combo til they just quit

Everytime I kill a forgington hoggington it always says enemy super unit destroyed which is very strangesh
