- Super Disney June continues with Animacation! Specifically from July 7, 2014, when a whole slew of premieres took place. Included: commercials that aired during the premiere of The 7D, a new Phineas and Ferb, and the US premiere of Doraemon. What a weird show to bring to America but I digress. Also a bit of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures split screen credits in there as well.
Despite having the HD feed to Disney XD at the time this was recorded, I chose to record off the SD feed for whatever reason. Perhaps to make it look better on my tape? in any case you’ll be seeing a LOT of cropped widescreen commercials. And before anyone asks about the cable guide numbers this is from the Fond du Lac, WI cable system

I didn’t watch The 7D until a few days after it premiered, I remember being at my grandmas house out of town watching the theme song, then watching a episode on the DXD app and that’s when I fell in love with the series. When it ended after it’s second season I was really heartbroken and sad(I still am). I really want to rewatch the series but it’s not streaming on Disney+.
This takes me back to when I was 7 Years old dude. I miss my childhood so much

Years later, the SD feed was retired, and started using a downscaled version of the HD feed

Do you still record on VHS?
No, not anymore. Last recording I have on VHS is sometime in 2016, but by that point I had a DVD recorder and preferred to use that instead

I didn’t have a proper capture device (or a personal computer!) at the time. If I had the equipment at the time I would’ve recorded digitally in a heartbeat
I’ve seen people upload recorded VHS bits on CZcams as recent as… well this year, so I was not the only one to use VHS well beyond its expiration date
