Man , MAFEX has been killing it recently with the latest releases. but for real that much money is not worthy if you already own any of the S.H.F. that's just my opinion tho.
IMO the Mafex is leagues better that the Shf. I’m so glad I passed on all those shf releases and waited for the Mafex which I feel is the definitive version. The best in 1/12 scale with out question.
I feel the mafex look better for sure. But I already got two of SHF so i dont think to get the mafex. That is alway their problem, they come out way later, years after the movie, and people dont get it
I prefer the paint job on the final battle figuarts, and I kind of like the stylized look more. I think the mafex is the most accurate. Also considering the suit is nanotech, I believe it stretches a bit, so proportions being different makes a bit of sense to me.
I didn't had any of the three but I picked up 1st shf for 40$...well the accessories are nice on the others but I'm not a photographer ..I just pose it and place it in the display..so the accessories were not that usable for me ..
Mafex. The only issue I have with mafex are the weird stiff shoulder pad. It just has way better and accurate proportions and paint compared to SH. Overall SH looks like a toy whereas Mafex genuinely looks like a figure.
@@DCSG81 sure is but the sacrifice of proportions for articulation is not worth it imo. As for the materials sure but it doesn't really does a good job of showing it. A cheap ZD toys figure has better look compared to it. I guess it's all about paintwork.
The Mafex one's weight worries me in the long-term. The RDJ headscultp however is phenomenal and one the main reasons I got him. I've yet to find an Iron Man figure however that impressed me as much as the Tech On Avengers Iron Man from SH Figuarts. That one is a beaut!
I agree I love the Tech on Iron Man and the Tech on Captain America armor as well. I absolutely love the Mafex but I have to admit the damn shoulder pads are pissing me off! They keep falling off all the time even when I’m trying hard to pose it lol. Overall the colors for paint are gorgeous and it is lighter but if they kept design for shoulders like SHF I don’t mind sacrificing some of the butterfly joints for no shoulder pads

The shoulder thing just caused me to take it off and put the Mafex one in a ridiculous dancing position,while the SHF is just firing all his beams. My Mafex right leg was loose however, so I tried the freezer trick but I'm gonna have to buy the pledge floor polish eventually to fix it proper.
@@ROUGEBLOCK I honestly can’t enjoy the figure posing it up without the damn shoulder pads flying off even if meticulously handled with care it sucks and drains the joy outta me lol! I have the loose leg issue as well. Fwoosh review also had same problems as well. I love the figure but the flying off shoulder pads truly drives me nuts 😜 I’m gonna try a few things before giving up and glueing it down and I’ll definitely share what I did if I find a solution for it. Please do same fellas lol
@@DCSG81 I have the Comicave/Fantascraft Mark 50. It is a piece of jewelry; the materials, paint and light up. Much better than their Mark 42 which yiu reviewed and similar 43 which I have. It is even more beautiful than my 3Zero Mk43. The Comicave Mk85 is awful though. Shoulder pads are even uglier than the Mafex and the proportions are all wrong.
Sadly I don’t think so. They seem to be differently engineered preventing you from swapping the shoulders. Even if you were to swap the shoulders it would probably look weird and out of place.
I’m really considering super glueing the flapping shoulder pads down on the Mafex Mark 85. I don’t know about you guys but mine constantly fly off the shoulders even when I’m meticulously posing with extra care. It’s actually causing me to not enjoy the figure so if anyone wants to chime in and let me know your thoughts I’d appreciate it!
@@warrenrohr I have mine arriving tomorrow from BBTS. Is the joint that holds the pads loose? Maybe add some joint tightener to that and hopefully it would stay down.
Only Iron Man I have is the I Am Iron Man. Sad it didn’t come with the usual accessories. Broke the lightning on the glove 😢 & lost a couple other pieces 😭
arc reactor is accurate on the Mafex, heck, everything is more accurate with the Mafex. i got both anyway. also both figure only the feet are die-cast.
You never waste anytime when it comes to comparisons or head swaps for newly released figures. Keep up the great work.

You are not entirely wrong but I just couldnt resists the beauty of it.
Of course, mafex is more cooler than legends and shfiguarts, but the cost is very high almost 200$. If you buy a mafex figure, you have my respect😎👍

SHF just consistently makes their 1/12 figures too short. it's so confusing. Also, those ankles on the SHF are TERRIBLE.

Yup, that's true... when he is in the armor, he should be slightly taller.
When you have to wait 3 years for a figure it SHOULD be miles better or else what is the point of waiting so long.

Yes, I think Black Widow can do the superhero landing pose easily.
Mafex are doing better and better job in making figure. Their releases are so great and accurate to the movie, especially the headsculpt.
