"I don't want my kids being a-holes at lunch making fun of other kids for the food their eating". Ladies and gentlemen a round of applause for any parents that do this because this teaches kids on a whole new level. Love it so much and tons of positive energy for that.
No not really maybe she could just teach her kids to mind their own business I would teach mine that don't judge other people
@@xahmariedwards3034 i mean, exposing your children to all kinds of cultures and foods froma young age *will help them to become much more tolerable and kind. just teaching my children to mind their business while yes, it would teach them not to be rude, but it wont give that sense of appreciation and tolerance for other cultures that is developed through exposure to cultures. So the original commenter was right, expose your children to all kinds of foods and cultures! they'll be much kinder people because of it :)

crazy how I used to bring adobo with rice for lunch packed in an old ice cream container and kids would literally make fun of me for eating rice everyday...truthfully made me hate my culture and asked my parents to give me sandwiches instead. Glad youre raising your kids well!
Makes me sad. Kids are cruel. I remember kids making fun of me for choosing broccoli and cheese with my free lunch because they said it smelled. I couldnt eat it and threw it away. I cant imagine kids with other cultures feeling embarrassed of amazing food that other kids arent used to!
In middle school there was a girl from Pakistan that got bullied everyday for her food but I honestly thought it looked good to me. One day I asked her if she wanted to switch lunches and we ended up becoming great friends and switching or sharing our lunches for the rest of the school year. Now as an adult I love trying new foods so much from every country

0:56 As an Asian who was teased at lunchtime for having seaweed and other typical "non-white" food in my lunch, this brings me so much more hope for the future generation. Thank you❤️
Don’t listen to them all cultures are beautiful , all the people who teased you aren’t worth it, ignore them
I'm from Peru and went to school with a lot of Asian and Asian-Peruvian people...no one ever teased them or bullied them about their lunches. We were jealous! Some of them were eating sushi rolls, onigiris, bento boxes with fried chicken and rice with furikake, chinese buns, mochi, homemade chow mein and things like that while we all had sandwiches or Peruvian food which is also delicious but theirs was unusual and for us unusual was good. It amazes me how someone could be bullied for their lunch.
I’m from Australia I bring roasted seaweed snacks to school ( fyi I’m not Asian ) but I do share it with all my friends and they love it! :)
oh really? i'm japanese and i went to an american elementary school growing up, and all the kids there literally took my salted seaweed snacks and begged for it during lunchtime lmao
As an adult who's been teased for the way I ate by my Caucasian, well educated supposedly global friends during my school days and called barbaric to my face (I use my clean hands) I can definitely attest to this. And yes I mentioned race because so far my other friends from other race never say that. Personal experiences, of course

History of Trinidad recepie Doubles the dish was inspired by a northern Indian dish called chole bhature (or sometimes channa bhatura).Chole bhature is made by combining channa masala with spicy chickpeas and bhature(poori), which is a fried bread made with maida flour, a common flour in Indian baking.
The name doubles arose when Mamudeen used to sell the bara (flat fried dough) used to make doubles, alongside the channa (chickpeas). It wasn't until the people buying these two items from Mamudeen began requesting to double the bara in their orders which is why the name doubles stuck.
@Rohini Priya chick peas aka channa is known all over the world, I dont think its locally grown in Trinidad and Tobago.
So true!!!! Thank you for researching about doubles

I'm proud to be Filipino. Chicke Adobo is one of the oldest comfort food in our country, Philippines.
I’m Canadian, and you really need to make the poutine with cheese curds! Mozzarella doesn’t do cheese curds justice!
My preferred ingredients in poutine:
thin non crinkled fries (they are less potatoe-y and thick than the crinkle fries, ya know?)
White cheese curds
Dark gravy (dark gravy tastes better :p )
A few shakes of pepper
Sadly it's tough to find good cheese curds south of the border 😔
