  • One of the best restaurants in Maryville, TN isn't really in Maryville. Becky's Grocery and Grill has a Maryville address, but it's not exactly in the middle of town; it's in the middle of nowhere as Tennessee Crossroads found out when he made a trip to meet Becky Cable at her restaurant. Watch this and more episode segments of Nashville Public Television's Tennessee Crossroads.

Grew up down the road from here. I’d ride my horse, skateboard, bike or hoof it on foot across cold creeks and under fences to get one of their burgers and warm smiles. Becky’s momma was so kind to me. Hey Travis!

@@lakewoodil Maryville roots can be traced back to being settled by the Scots-Irish, that is where the accent comes from. As you well know every region of the country has a different accent. "Lazy diction" can be applied to every area in this nation. I love the people and accents of those in this area and I love their tolerance for others, that is why I moved here years ago. I have never met such a loving and helpful community. If "lazy diction" is the worst thing around here then it is pretty close to perfect.
