My son had this terrible illness when he was two years old. Listening to his poor son’s story was like reliving what my son went through 17 years ago. Their stories were literally almost exactly the same. It is so wonderful he is recovering! It took my son about 3 months before he could walk again but he made a full recovery and grew up to have a passion for baseball! They will remain in my prayers! God Bless…

Freddie is one of my favorite players. He could teach so many people about hitting, fielding, humor and professionalism. But this press conference is a Dad worried for his son. He is so open and candid about something so private. In doing so, this could help other families dealing with similar issues and give them hope and faith. Freddie, we all love you!

I have not done anything except send good wishes for Max to our Heavenly Father. Having been born with cerebral palsy and having the nurses at the hospital saved my life God first though. I believe that Max will come out of this normal again because he has Our Father in heaven Jesus and the Holy Spirit and his mom and dad at his side.

“What’s the hardest part of the experience” seriously that’s an awful question.
Had GBS as a 6 year old… I can tell you it was surely harder on my parents than it was me. Spent nearly two weeks in the hospital but no lasting effects after several months of PT. Hang in there Freddy.

They’re really not. Freeman is a class act and now that his son got discharged, he wanted to share his experience. If he didn’t want do the press conference, no one would have batted an eye.
I think it’s such bullshit he has to do a pregame interview and share his personal life and details and for 30 mins… bad job dodgers and mlb.. if anything a few mins to have to give a full recap is surprising to see and crazy IMO
