    Only the Japanese people could have escaped that plane in time. Thier culture of control and cooperation saved a lot of lives. If they were Americans 80% would have died in the fire.

    - 80% faults might due to many factors of the coast guard’s pilot: distraction/lost focus on hurry to the duty of the ongoing emergency/earthquake response asap; not very familiar with the airport/reality vs what trained/practiced during demonstrated examinations (always with first highest priority take off and carry task asap - not like putting stop and wait); not received/reminded with full info on waiting/giving way for a coming airplane landing…
    - 10% of faults to the air traffic operator: should have give priority to the on duty coast guard plane take off first asap while other standby (just like in reality once a fire truck goes thru the intersections) instead of waiting for non duty air flights landing (although they can always detour/circle); should provide clearer, more details and full info communication to the on duty coast guard pilot…
    - 10% failures to the very old/outdated safety procedures and low tech air traffic control; planes should have able to see each others around at night time rather than rely on the olny one air controller’s communications; must update/upgrade with higher advance technology of clearer/better communication (voice, light/signals, screen indicator etc…) even while the errors happening
    => with that 20% improvement may prevent/reduce/backup to other pilots’ mistakes/tragedies in the future too!

      @@rockwithyou2006 Historically Japan is prone to natural disasters such as earthquake, tsunami etc. Japanese mentality of resillience is developed by such harsh circumstances. Resilience is said to be a prime characteristic of the Japanese, and I`m firmly believe that Japanese will rebuild their affected areas very soon in spite of tough year.

    Passenger plane an Airbus A350, Coast Guard plane Dash 8. Seems that the Dash 8 was in the way of the 350 as the 350 was landing. All escaped alive from the 350, however, 5 passed away on board the Dash 8 Coast Guard aircraft, RIP.
    With all due respect, those fire trucks need bigger hoses

    • @mehere8038
      @mehere8038 Před 7 měsíci +1

      bigger hoses need more water & pumps, there are limits to what's feasible in scaling up. Point of the firefighters is to keep flames controlled until passengers can be evacuated to safety, which they did, so it seems fit for purpose to me
