As far as data suggests the population bengali community in so called tripura kingdom in 1947 was around 50%. Now its 65%. 15 % increase. One of the major reason behind that is probably bengalis has higher per capita income which has led to higher fertility rate. Though there is no denying of the fact that bengali influx has occurred. But saying their "influx" is the reason for tribal becoming minorities, is completely a false statement. 6th schedule area of adc is a highly incompetent body. Rampant corruption, funds mismanagement, no proper developmental roadmap, scarcity of brilliant minds to do plannings, is one of the driving force of tribal suffering. 6th schedule are in the state is around 70%, where non tribals can not buy lands, hence opening businesses is quite a hardship. No investment, no job, hence no development. Being a non tribal non bengali guy from mainland i understand the pain of tribals who everyday watch their fellow bengalis, how they are developing and how tribals are not. Which is the main reason for antibengali sentiments.

@@watanabe00738Your Data is wrong it's un predictable now. Bengali population may be 80% next census will tell. We don't mind 50/50 but refugees must be refugees. There should be NRC.
Agar kya hoga apka state me apka local population se jada refugees population hojaiye toh?
Before independent we the indigenous population were present and we also fought against Britishers. During NEFT and NEFA, NEFA students union (now AAPSU) was there. Before temporarily settling those refugees in our lands we were alive and the land was not barren.
Now come to the point:
1. whether these Chakma & Hajongs are citizen of Indian by birth or not is still pending at Supreme court.
2. Chakma & Hajongs are foreigners, therefore their name can't be enrolled in AP Panchayati Raj Act 1997 (as per the Khudiram Chakma case 1996 and 2002)
3. The fundamental right to foreigner is confined to article 21, for life and liberty and doesn't include the right to reside and settle in the country.
4. the right to settle anywhere is not available to the Chakma refugees as per section-3 of the Foreigner Act, 1946, Clause-9 of the Foreigner's order, 1948 and Section-6A of the Citizenship Act, 1955.

Sad to know that my arunachali people are still awake yet and no one won't raise up on the basis of this issue as you can see it in diyun chakma hajong has been protesting for many days as they contemplate the basic right of the chakma and hajong community according to the amendment act they should already have to their citizen in bangladesh and my humble appeals to Hon'ble chief minister of (A.p)and all reprentatives as well you should take the action strictly whereas their popular has been increasing day by day as per the popular of chakma and hajong of bangladesh might have lesser than from here so my last words for you people is go back to your country

Speaking of my state
Arunachal could be labeled as a tribal state,
with population of local communities[APST] as per 2011 census at 9.5 lakhs out of 13 lakhs, remaining being non-locals who are mostly for job and govt employees etc. And usually stay temporarily and return back until their jobs are done, also they are not entitled to PRC[residence certif] as ArP is under constitutional protection.
Our local communities are small numbered, but closely knit society, with few people going out of state and who mostly return back home at later stage in life.
Arunachal has 26 major tribes and around 110 sub tribes having own dialects and religious systems, Of which Nyishi is the largest group at 2.5 lakhs, 2-3 groups at 60k population, otherwise all other remaining groups are few in no with population ranging from some 100s to 30k mostly.
Now throw into this equation 60-70k Chakmas for eg, who still have 1.5lakh of their own people in other states of mizoram, assam, tripura. Wont it create more pressure of resources for the locals, to an already lagging state like Arunachal Pradesh ?
Now to be clear why 60k of a 'SINGLE DENOMINATION' of ppl WILL make a difference in ArP....
We're proud people with each group having distinct and Rich cultural practises, beliefs, Dialects and follow our own animistic religion UNLIKE most other places in India where jst for eg say Jats, bhojpuri, Pahadis, maithilis, madwadis may claim different culture but have a Caste system that is almost same everywhere, Follow Hindu religion mostly, so you guys are similar in the sense that religion and caste binds you all together, can relate to, and when a certain political party calls out to Hindus [only for eg] you all are one vote bank group at national level.
but We ppl of Arunachal dont fit into the picture with most of what 'mainland' indian defines their societal structure, as we weren't 'sanskritised' for better or worse as some of our Manipuri and Ahom[axom] friends did, mainland is a word which Im sorry i dont like using, but i found my mainland friends find our DIVERSITY in way of life & religious practises find difficult to grasp bcoz most might argue we all look similiar, pray to nature, eat all weird things haha...sorry but it is over generalization actually [although that'll solve with time i hope as we get more into mainstream society]
If you observe and live closely with us you'll find...
We're totally different groups here with our own religious beliefs [many many diff animistic religions although they're not recognised as mainstream 'Religion' by Constitution as you can see why....small no of followers].
So hypothetically in truest sense it's like a Small town with 200 hindu living with 60 buddhist, 30 muslim, 30 parsi, 10 jew, 10 shinto, 5 bahaii, 4xs, 2ys and 100s other of small denominations with different Culture, Beliefs, Rituals, DIALECTS, where you bring in 60 other outsiders of "SINGLE-DENOMINATION" Wont it Adversely affect most denominations inside this town which are small in no.? and whose problems should we address first?
And I dont Hate my Chakma/hajong frnds just for its sake, its just that the rights of my own People in it come first as my concerns, and so are the Affected chakma brothers standing up for themselves and resisting which i respect but Disagree with

And ask for a different solution by peaceful discourse by our both parties, look at manipur, nothing has come out of it.
personally i dont oppose granting Indian citizenship to Chakmas, just that we in arunachal are not in a good position to be open to outsiders, so a different solution is needed
