It's certainly from another dimension, why? No bugs lol.
What do you think about The Outer Worlds? Did you find it enjoyable?

While think the ending is a little flat, I rather enjoy the game.

For me Outer Worlds (with both DLC`s included) is one of the best AAA
singleplayer games i played in recent years. However, without the DLC`s
its a bit short and not fleshed out enough.

I really enjoyed the game but I got stuck in Byzantium on both playthroughs I attempted. I get to a point where I can't progress - the first time I thought it was a random bug, but it happened the second time as well. I can't take off and I can't talk to anyone and I can't be bothered to try a third time!

Meh game, it's not bad but it was way too short and rather bland. But if you can get it cheap on steam then give it a go.

Just lover your expectations. It's way smaller and way less detailed. Just pretty good story and good jokes. It took me under 30 hours, as I've said. Still I enjoyed it. Just make sure to get it on sale :)

I just played through this game, and outside of the DLC Murder on Eridanos this game is meh.
When it released, people tried to claim it was a new Fallout: New Vegas. I'd rather play Fallout 4 over this game, and Fallout 4 is considered "the worst" Fallout game in the series.

I came across this randomly when it first came out years ago and grabbed it and was pleasantly surprised how much it made me laugh, and just how easily it tickled my Bethesda game spot. I still have it now and recommend it to anyone who is burnt out on their current RPG offerings. It is somewhat linear like you said, but you still get the exploration feeling, without realizing you are lost at some points like in a true sandbox. I also do like how it felt seamless with its load screens and animations, unlike Starfield. Suffice to say IMPO, a banger title for what it is. Glad to see others appreciate this hidden gem.

    • @timrorhus
      @timrorhus Před 8 dny

Exactly! I was laughing a lot while playing this title. Yes, it's linear, I think saying a linear game with open-world elements makes it justice. And that doesn't retract anything from the title, perfectly sized for what it is!
I didn't expect to like it this lol

Hmmm, I played through twice. I've also played BioShock. I find this to be closer to Fallout but I do see the Bioshock comparison. I've also played Starfield through to NG+.....I kept wishing it was as good as Outer Worlds, which it isn't. I agree the Spacers Choice version is oversaturated. Weapons could use better scaling. Overall, an underappreciated game. I loved it.

@@timrorhus it feels more like Bioshock 1 or 2 to me than Infinite with the exception of the outdoors setting. Bioshock 1 and 2 had their flaws but were overall really enjoyable and had a good story. I thought Infinite was one of the worst "games" I've ever played, since its characters, story and mechanics were all terrible.

  • @banks3388

Generic FPS with RPG mechanics with choices that ultimately felt inconsequential and a narrative that can be summed up as "Capitalism is bad Morty, we need to kill the Captialists Morty!" The thing that really got me was there were no romance options but you can unironically get cucked by an "asexual" lesbian and the "good choice" is helping her hook up with another chick...
I'm not even mad that the game itself was the definition of mid mechanics wise and it's at best AA in terms of scope, I'm just wondering what happened to the quality of Obsidian's writing went? (oh that's right, they got rid of their best writers)
