I recently moved to New Jersey, and I am looking forward to camping in the Pine Barrens later in the spring. Thanks for sharing.
Small hint. Don't let the tent footprint extend past the edges of the tent. In the event of rain it will funnel water under the floor of the tent. Learned from experience
Good job!!! Nice. I’m looking a place for camping ⛺️. Thank you! 👍👍👍
thanks for sharing looking forward of doing some winter camping next month.
Brave man!!! I'll have to try that, me no likey the cold!!!

There was just a fire today in Wharton State Forest
Be prepared if you watch this video until the end. SPOILER ALERT---> The New Jersey Devil gets him. The horror...the horror...😮.
Some constructive criticism here: I liked when you said "Let's go fishing" and showed me what you caught so I felt liked you shared the moment with me. You can do that more by sharing why you picked this park, the gear you have, how the food tastes. I just want to see more of that personality of yours.
Thanks! Slowly getting the nerve to narrate my videos....
@@LoudandLocalExploreEverythingyou can also use the description to your advantage and type down all your equipment so you don’t have to worry about doing voice over everything will be in the description us :) ❤
Good video...was there anyone else camping nearby?...are coyotes a concern?...subscribed
There was another solo camper and a couple nearby, I haven't heard any coyotes in this area any of the times I camped here. I'm pretty sure it is relatively safe.
I've heard coyotes in Whiting for years but have yet to see one.
Last year a Fox kitted across the street. I've heard they do that because the coyotes avoid us and the foxes use that.
Where can I go to book a stay here?
You can make reservations here: nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/parks/whartonstateforest.html
Most you drive to a few walk or kayak to
Drive to the parking lot, then hike to campsite. You would probably have to carry the kayak for a short distance.
I thought you can drive in to some sites. An i drive into site #14??? Thank you in advance. I booked it already bc someone posted thats you can drive in n its by the river. Please help bc I will cancel.
You can drive pretty close and park your vehicle and carry your things a short walk away. I'm not sure about site #14. Maybe you could take a drive to the campground and scope it out in advance. 😀 Sorry I couldn't offer more help...Loud & Local
you can book any site you want. Either drive in site or hike in. I'll be doing some winter camping in december.
You had to walk in? You couldn't drive your car to the site?
No, this is a primitive campsite, you can park outside of the actual camping area and walk to your site. It's not that far but could mean a couple of trips if you have alot of gear.
What was that?…A gar?
Chain Pickerel, commonly found in the ponds and rivers in the Pine Barrens!
@@LoudandLocalExploreEverything Thank you! Never ate one of those, but looked like you got a nice fight out of it!
@@thechariotcard I don't eat them, lot's of bones...some people do eat them though...
