Got "stuck" like that a few years ago, Had an SUV and the bison were big enough that they were at eye level. Also stuck was an older El Dorado with NJ plates whose driver thought he could go around the herd. Didn't get very far before a big bull stopped and gave him the look that said "don't even think about getting between me and my harem." The Jersey driver got right back into line and waited just like the rest of us. Being that close to those magnificent animals is a thing to remember but seeing the bull put some dents in that Caddy would have been seriously entertaining.

The bison are on their winter migration to the warm thermal areas so it’s an everyday P I T A if you live here which I do now - Just moved here from your stomping grounds in Denver :)
Lucky you!!!! I got to run beside a bison in Yellowstone. Purely by accident. It was one of the best days of my life. I had a few choice words for my husband because he kept the truck moving. I couldn't jump in. It was his new F150 purchased just for our Yellowstone vacation. So, I kept running and the bison kept running. He was beautiful!!!!!!
Would love to personally see that

It would have been neat to see one ram the VW a few times to see how strong the sheet metal is. Plus it could have been another State Farm commercial.
I assure you, that Bison is not afraid of your vehicle! I hope you guys enjoyed your trip through the park. I live near the park so I get to see those "traffic jams" pretty regularly.

That would be awesome!! At least I would enjoy that. I love being able to watch animals, deer, elk, goats, bison, etc.
They still have their winter coat. I love bison!!!!

If you come through Lander or Riverton on your way home, I'll buy you guys a beverage... great road trip south through Cody, Thermopolis, Lander - 287 all the way down to Boulder... Better scenery than through Casper IMO.

i usually worry about scratches. if those got ornery, you would be bringing back a brand new totaled vehicle to VW.
