Manhunter was the name given to detectives and bounty hunters back in the 40s.
J'ohn's initial identity as a detective kinda adds to the name. I kinda like it.
The female goddess is Artemis (Like the arrow of Artemis that the Amazons fire to alert Diana)

JL War (the animated flick) displayed Cyborg’s story. Snydercut was nearly beat-for-beat that film in terms of Cyborg’s arc
But the cartoon told it waaaayyyyy better... And shorter.
Much better movie than this 4-hour+ disastrous pretentious garbage.
What I liked the most is that we got to see more of Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman, the Snyder cut felt like a actual Justice League movie

The actor who voiced Darkseid was Ray porter, I had my doubts at first when I heard that he would voice Darkseid since he was unknown actor but after watching the Snyder Cut he nailed it. I want to hear more of that voice in future projects, NOW
In Spanish Martian Manhunter is called "Detective Marciano", which I guess is more understandable.

The more I think about this movie, the more I like it. It is far from perfect, but there is so much world-building and so many good moments, I liked it a lot!

I think this is more about our modern day attention spans than anything - the 4 hours flew by in my opinion
This films 4 hours was faster than many 2 hour films for me

I personally liked the Snyder cut it was really awesome and badass
I really enjoyed the Snyder Cut and I didn’t mind the 4 hours. It could have been 3 and a half, but I think since Snyder thought this was his last chance to get it out there, he put all the footage he could find. Cyborg and Flash were my favorite parts of the movie!
I really liked it, it does not need to 4hrs, could easily be like cut down to 3hr 15mins, there's a lot of things to dunk on but Overall it's his best dc movie. Had a lot of fun. 7/10

I didn’t really like the whole segment of Cyborg. He was working through those emotions in the movie, WW makes that clear. Also, I wouldn’t say he was going to become the Cyborg we know, but it seemed working with the the JL might bring him into that.
Synder did a good job the characters where flushed out and there was a story!! If he stopped here I would be ok with that but if he kept going I would be ready to watch
I would love to see a Wonder Woman movie with Vandal Savage as the villain.
A 5000 year old Amazon who has an overall positive outlook on humanity versus a much older Vandal who's lost hope in humanity? I'd watch it.

I won't mind Gunn's greenlighting a Ben Affleck's Batman solo flick WITH Leto as the Joker, new and improved, of course.
I think, as long as Affleck's left in his own element, the movie's gonna be outstanding.

Ares was played by both David Thewlis & Nick McKinless in this film. Nicks body & Thewlis face was performed then cgi'd over Nicks.
Definitely enjoyed the Snyder cut better than the last one though I do have some grievances.
I think cyborg didn't had internal problems in this movie because he was currently dealing with them. Maybe he would've changed into the comic version in the sequel or in the cyborg movie.
And i agree there were too many unnecessary song in first hour.
I'm in the middle on snyder dc. I neither love nor hated his work. But I really loved this movie.

wasnt Endgame like 3 and half hrs? could easily make this the same for theatres without the 4 hrs etc, deleting the slowmos, the epilogue cutdown, and amazon fight cut down a bit etc.

Endgame had a decade+ worth of emotional investment from its audience to warrant asking them to sit 3+ hrs in the theatre

To be fair about the black bars... you still get them on a widescreen TV when a movie is in 2.35:1 or wider. 4:3 is an aspect ratio that is closer to the tall ratio of IMAX which the movie was originally shot for. I never heard the "stature of the superheroes" reasoning before, though, which is interesting.
The slow-mo stuff was pretty rough, especially in the first half. Zack Snyder's song choices aren't anything special, either. He's no Tarantino or Scorsese when it comes to great needle-drop moments, that's for sure.

9:53 eh, would have been slightly better cause Snyder would have kept the tone straight rather than all over the place but, yes it would have been missing a lot of stuff it needed. It then would have had an extended cut that improved on it but, still not as good as this version.

4 x 3 Ratio is because that’s most IMAX screens and he was filming the movie with that mindset, along with the characters looking larger
I can't really imagine how Snyder's plan would've worked for the solo movies.

you know you could just adjust the picture, if you watch it on a computer you can just zoom in. and if you wanna watch it on a tv you can connect your computer to the tv. for some tv's you can also adjust the picture and zoom in in the tv's settings. but the aspect ratio didn't bother me anyway, i quite enjoyed being able to watch more of the screen than what is normally shown

I liked this movie overall too but one small thing really fucking annoyed me is that Snyder doesn't know what blades are The Amazons grabbed stepenwolfs armor spikes and they didn't even scratch and his axe doesn't cut a single thing. You had one job blades.

Manhunter is an old term/slang for detective and John alias tends to be a detective.
Finally saw the Snydercut after a year has passed, and as preparation, I watched Man of Steel, Ultimate BvS, and Josstice League, and I gotta say, this is the better Justice League, and I can appreciate what Zack Snyder's goals were for this universe. The big problem is that there are just too many ideas put into the movies that then have to be chopped up and cut out that makes the theatrical versions unable to convey those ideas. And yeah, it's ultimately still the same movie as Josstice League, but 3 and a half hours long, but it has what you need to feel more attached to these characters, and there are better explanations for the Motherboxes, the motivations of Steppenwolf, and we got Darkseid. The action's better, the comedic moments are better, everything is just better in general, but I also wouldn't say that this is what the movie universe should have been. This is definitely something that feels more like it should have been a phase or two down the line of the DCEU after having had more fun moments in other movies, so yeah, DC needed to just copy Marvel in that sense, but for what it is, and in conjunction with the other two Snyder movies, it's pretty good.
It felt rushed. It felt like the powers that be told Zack to hurry up and get to the justice league.

long time listener to you guys. And I think sometimes you guys forget that the actor does not write lines he is saying and even some of the style choices are up to the director. If the director sees an actor portraying a character, not in an ideal manner, well that is the director s job to come in and try to get what he wants out of the actor. The actor's job is to deliver the performance based on guidance from the director. How good or bad that delivery is, rest with the actor. Just like in sports Coaches get blamed for wins and losses. But as always love hearing the different perspective. For instance, you make the argument that the Cyborg should have more " Booyah" ness to him, well the actor chooses to do the scenes, that way based on the script he was given and guidance from Zack Synder. The actor cant really just change course on set and say, I feel he would be more upbeat can we do a rewrite, hence why sometimes you see actors leave projects or reject projects.
It's funny you said about the noir version. Because IT DOES EXIST. Zack Snyder said he weants to release a black and white version of the film the following months on HBO MAX.
I idk I feel like you guys miss interpreted the nightmare scenes cuz you keep talking about how the boxes where the point they lost but I feel it was very explicate that this movie take place after they've lost and barry went back in time this movie is starting from the redo timeline because Bruce says he had a vision barry telling him lois is they key they didn't lose because they used the boxes they lost because lois lane died probably with Jonathan kent because she had pregnancy tests in her drawer so I feel lois dies with Jonathan like the injustice universe and Superman turned evil and helped kill the world so batman's nightmares are a warning from barry to not let lois lane die when darksied comes
I also have pretty much dug the majority of the DC cinematic universe films leading up to Justice League- except Suicide Squad that was weird

I find it funny that you guys didn't care for cyborg but loved flash, and I'm the exact opposite. I don't know much about cyborg, but I really didn't mind his character portrayal. I agree that the exact Snyder cut was much better than the regular version, but I didn't bother me either way. I didn't really care for Ezra Miller as the flash though. I don't know if this is because I actually just like Grant Gustin from CW, and I think he's a good flash, but something about Ezra's flash just puts me off a little bit. But I just kind of chuckled at the whole conversation

All movies before the 1950s were shot 4:3 aspect ratio. That's because film is actually 4:3. Widescreen was a gimmick to combat competition from TV. Anything shot on 35mm film has the top and bottom portion of the picture cut off, so you are losing portions of the image with widescreen formats. Think about it this way. Lenses are circular. A wider used image means less of the entire lens image is being used.
Loved seeing more of JK as Commissioner Gordon. I just want Ben Affleck’s Batman movie now. As long as he stops killing because if he kills there’s no reason there is a joker and a Harley Quinn. Still not a fan of this interpretation of Flash.

Zack Snyder did everything he could to make it as different from Josstice league as much as he could have because whatever Snyder fans say it's the same movie with some more exploration of characters and the universe.......you cut Snydercut to 2 hrs you'll have Josstice league with a change of tone
