  • In the swirling, colorful haze of the late 1960s, one band briefly emerged from the fog of incense and imagination: the Plastic Prune Parade. Fronted by the eccentric and ever-so-slightly nearsighted Sir Reggie Farnsworth, a former tea cozy designer turned psychedelic troubadour, the band made an attempt to capture the hearts and warped minds of the era's youth.
The band's genesis and demise are as tangled as the melodies of their lone album, "Lunar Lullabies for the Bewildered." Legend has it that Sir Reggie's musical voyage began at a particularly rowdy listening party for "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" in 1967. As he grooved to the groundbreaking sounds, an errant lava lamp was knocked off a shelf, striking him on the head. When he awoke, not only was his vision slightly improved, but he was also filled with a cosmic inspiration to create an album that would guide the lost souls of his generation through the universe's auditory pathways.
"Lunar Lullabies for the Bewildered" was intended to be a concept album mapping the existential journey from Earth to the moon and back, using only Tibetan singing bowls, a sitar, and the occasional theremin for good measure. The album, featuring tracks such as "Moondust Serenade" and "Gardens of Elysium" sold exactly 17 copies-most of which were purchased by Sir Reggie’s slightly bewildered but supportive mother.
Despite-or perhaps because of-their musical ambitions, the Plastic Prune Parade disbanded shortly after their album's release. Sir Reggie returned to the world of tea cozies, claiming that the fabric patterns communicated cosmic truths far more effectively than music ever could. the Plastic Prune Parade remains a quirky footnote in the annals of musical history, their album a collector's curiosity for those devoted enough to seek out the strangest echoes of the psychedelic era.

Great idea, can you explain us how you nail that vintage music style? (song description/genre)

Thanks. For this particular song I used "late 60s dreamy distorted psychedelic" for the style prompt.
