Wow 🤩, that’s a big & beautiful chunky one!!
Super informative video. I loved the instruction on cleaning the old soil with water and picking out bits. I learned this the hard way after I killed a couple of plants by raking out the roots and didn't understand that I bruised/wounded them and left them open to rot.
Now I use warm water and tweezers to get into the though spots and pick out rocks/perlite/bark and always let it "dry out" a bit before putting back in moist soil and watering. .
This is one of the most beautiful plants I've seen!
Beautiful Bonsai ! Thank you, for the demonstration Jerome...awesome man ! ❤
Watching you work on your adenium has given me the courage to try and bonsai my adenium. I learned a lot by this video. Hope you will upload more adenium videos. thanks for sharing.
Philip Tavella Thank you so much for the feedback! I will definitely make more adenium bonsai videos :)
Would love an update on this adenium sometime!
Thanks very much, I really like how you explained the drying time before and after the repot. That will help me heaps😊😊
This tree is amazing rarely do you see these styled as a semi-cascade it's very beautiful perhaps one day you should turn her into a full cascade
Absolutely gorgeous form!
Beautiful! Great job!
You are inspiring me. I have only had adeniums for 2 years, I think I will do some repotting today.
Wonderful presentation. I really enjoyed your video and your work. Thank you!
Jerome, I can't wait to see more content. I feel inspired lol. I use to live in South West Florida and Bonsai are very popular in that region of the US. They are a magnificent succulent ! ❤☀️🔥
Take care, stay safe and God bless.

Beautiful artistic and a wonderfull shape i love it its amazing i hope our adiniums grow as good as yours anyway we’re experimenting and hopefully we will get good and beautifull results as well a practice of patience for sure ❤😂🍀🌈☔️💐🇳🇿🦘🌷🌹🌻🌏🇳🇿🙏🙏🦘🦘🦋😍
A wonderful bonsai, very inspiring!
what do you think of watering out the roots?
Excellent technique, especially for succulents, I used to do that with my trees but I haven't had a hose hooked up outside for many years now. I use a tub of water to wash the roots. Really nice Adenium Jerome, a very unique style that works really well.
Hey Nigel! Thank you.
This tree looks like it was from an alien movie. be careful a xenomorph is maybe hiding in it. XD
Ur baby becomes beautiful. 6 years of taking of it ❤️ I cant wait to see it blooming. How about daddy! For sure he will waiting that moment more than me! 🌸 I do gardening and I do understand the connection and love. All the best bro. 👍
Amazing tree

Angie B thank you Angie 🙏🌳

looks so amazing👍👍👍
i have always re-potted mine in winter when the plants are sleeping and no leaves...works great for me.
Your tutorials are awesome and I share them all over the place.
Roots come out ot a pot because there is moisture out there not because it is rootbound.
I love the way u explain. Thanku so much. 🌳😊
What an amazingly beautiful, dramatic planting! Wow! Cheers, Dick from Vancouver
Perfeita, a mais linda que já vi. 👏👏👏
So beautiful
Beautyfull work!
Congratulations
Awesome!
Your adenium is awesome..... Bro I can understand that this is the result of your hardwork and patience........😮😮😮
sandeep dagar thank you for your kind words
Beautiful job
Caring That a tiny tree, it's just like caring a love one. I would say that is a labour of love.
Very nice, thanks for sharing!
Hey buddy! wonderful work! I m not an expert doing Bonsai, however I have some experience in cactai. So, whenever I remove or cut some roots or branches I just spread sulphur powder on the cuts! It heals the wounds pretty fast and prevents them from getting fungi and other deceases!! Best of luck!!
Love this bonsai
This one reminds me of those braided ficusses (yeech!) they sell at IKEA. I personally think it would benefit GREATLY by coaxing a more radial nebari at the base of that spaghetti bowl.
Loved a lot
Very nice.
Nice one! 👍
Excellent
I love it
love this one brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rickstreeart thank you!!!
Lovely adenium
Awesome..🙂
Very nice
amazing adanium myte 👍 ....cheers for that. definitely would like to see the outcome of today's reviewing, rather the bonsai in bloom - TC myte
What a beautiful Adenium u have. Can we have an update of the same after some months? Thanks
what a beauty
Very informative.
Using clear aquarium tubing is a great idea it's a lot less distracting than black rubber inner tube or black tubing , and it can be used to shape branches without maring them , 👍🏼
Lindaa!!
Parabéns!
Caudex belíssimo...maravilhoso..
Parabéns....
Beautiful
Thank you, but what about the tree? :)
It looks like a dragon.. wounderfull
Great video! I have Adenium of my own and I would love to learn more about your process. There is very little info on CZcams that is in English LOL
I'm in love with that adenium.
nice....exactly
looks like a deform adenium
Jerome looking like a snack!
In a simple word ua Guru

Adenium your best....best lovely bonsai root best strutur....best...best
Love the music!
Hello! Very informative and high quality video, as always. I wonder how it happens that the caudex twists so beautifully? Is it an Adenia cultivation technique? Thank you for the video!
Awesome. Thank you. I am afraid to cut my adeniums. Have one 20 years old. Has nice caudex but could have been magnificent if I had known how to trim and repot it.
You should make it into a dragon blowing fire of flowers! It would be beautiful! 🐉
Just found your channel and realized you guys are only 15 minutes from me! Hooray! Might have to start getting serious about bonsai 🤔
Laney Duskin hey Laney! That’s is awesome! Please come visit us😊
very unusual shape. This is so interesting. Wow a lot of root! This time you didn't trim away roots? how do you decided when to do so? Do you every have pest problems, like spider mites. What natural methods to deal with them and other pests? Thank you for sharing. I am inspired now to come in for a class
Wow
What a lovely piece if work, what Adenium species do you recomend going for a cascade ish work?
Awesome video! How did you train the roots to achieve this shape?
That's looks so awesome, how do you train to get the root so big😍
Is the root drying something you do with all trees or just this species? Loving all your videos thanks for providing them
Awesome video! Can you do a video tutorial of how to train the adenium to get this twisted caudex? It would be really helpful and I don't see anyone teaching that online.
So it helps starting with an already funky/twisted caudex, and replant and let it grow to the sun. You can train with wires (which this channel shows a lot), but that can also scar the plant if done incorrectly and also make it a bit un-natural. This particular plant was probably repotted many times with twisting of the roots, training/pruning and leaning it over.
It takes a LOT of time and dedication to make it look like that (and knowledge/skill).
Ha, I just replied that before you pointed out the rubber tubes over wires. . . such a good channel, great advice!
Mantap bos ku👍👍👍
Muito bom
I stay in singapore. summer is the only season with raining season dec to feb. I using bonsai soil mix of expanded clay, pumice stones, lava stones, rice hulls. Just repot adenium with flower bulbs. getting the full sun from late morning to late afternoon. Have no experince using such bonsai mix do i have to water everyday or 3-4 days ?
😍
How do you get the caudex to grow so large and unusual? Do you have any idea how old this plant is? You do an excellent job!
hi great video thanks for shaRING. what is your soil composed of? thanks
Hey Roylo! Our soil is a mixture of Lava, Pumice, Charcoal and Turface. Our blend is available for purchase here : thebonsaisupply.com/collections/supplies/products/professional-bonsai-soil-mix hope this helps:)
Only South Florida can grow those like that. In soucal or Arizona..very tricky. Good chance they will collapse one winter.
OlÁ sou de Portugal e adoro os seus videos gostaria de saber qual a mistura que usa para as rosas do deserto. Obrigada bjs
Please make an update on your adenium.. 🙏
Great video folks. I wonder, do you have any guidelines for the type of substrate to use? I assume something very free draining helps?
Hi Matt, You can find our substrate here: www.amazon.com/Bonsai-Purpose-Draining-Calcined-Supply/dp/B07M68B4JG/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=bonsai+soil&qid=1613611199&sr=8-8
Jerome what you do to those Adenium is scary, but you definitely know what you're doing. Great Job!! Where in the world do import those giant Adenium from
Domenic Pasqualone hey Domenic, some are imported from China and Thailand and some we collect here in Florida
In Brasil, we use cinammon on the cuts...
Carla Fiuza that works well, I prefer limestone paste
That's the secret I've learned recently. I actually trimmed my adenium today and used cinnamon on it. I hope mine will turn out to be like this sometime. Mine is much smaller
Olá! Qual a composição do substrato utilizado?
Hi, this was a very interesting and informative video on re-potting an Adenium but when you showed how the plant was root bound with a clear need to re-pot but then when you re-potted in the same pot I was confused. Wouldn't that cleaned root ball be just as root bound going in to the same pot?
Hey Dave, Thank you for your kind words! The reason why I repotted it into the same pot is because I don't want it to get any bigger. When the trees get to a certain stage you want to work on ramification etc. and no longer on thickening the trunk.
congratulations beautiful plant could pass the substrate composition thanks
What an interesting video. I have never seen anybody repot and cut a Adenium like that. Sure did turn out beautiful! Do you know how I would repot a 10 year old Adenium from a very large pot to a Bosnian bowl? The bowl is 20 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The Adenium is currently in a garden pot that is 17 inches wide and 17 inches in height. She hasn’t bloomed at all for me this year and I fear root rot Thank you!
You know I've done the whole wiring the tree into the pot but that seems like when I do it the tree dies 2-3 month's later.
Brasil !!!
Hello, love your video! Can you suggest which season is best to do what you have suggested in the above video? I just bought Ardemium and it gave 3 big flowers and its pot is full with roots
Hi, middle of the summer is great! Check out this crash course I put together on Adeniums and other species. onlinebonsai.teachable.com
@@WeareTheBonsaiSupply Thankyou so much!
I love your videos. I am finding difficult to find the recipe for the potting soil...
Neusa Niemann thank you Neusa🙏🌳, here you go:

Do you have anything on Fockea Edulis or Bursera?
Lovely plant! What are you using for soil- is it a homemade mix?
Hey David, yes it is a homemade mix. It is made of Pumice, Red lava, Surface, expanded clay and charcoal. We sell it on our website thebonsaisupply.com
What climate are you in? How dry or humid is it?
What was the purpose of tying it down? Just to prevent tipping?
Andos99 hey! From tipping and from moving everytime the wind blows. Tying it down allows your bonsai to develop a healthy root system
How old is that tree? Very beautiful
Do you have an update on this?
Do you let all your tree roots air dry before repotting or just for this species? thanks!
Neil mcgrath hi Neil, only on Adenium, this technique wouldn't work on anything else and would actually be catastrophic.
must you not water all the trees after repotting or only certain trees?
