    Super informative video. I loved the instruction on cleaning the old soil with water and picking out bits. I learned this the hard way after I killed a couple of plants by raking out the roots and didn't understand that I bruised/wounded them and left them open to rot.
    Now I use warm water and tweezers to get into the though spots and pick out rocks/perlite/bark and always let it "dry out" a bit before putting back in moist soil and watering. .

    Hey buddy! wonderful work! I m not an expert doing Bonsai, however I have some experience in cactai. So, whenever I remove or cut some roots or branches I just spread sulphur powder on the cuts! It heals the wounds pretty fast and prevents them from getting fungi and other deceases!! Best of luck!!

    Awesome video! Can you do a video tutorial of how to train the adenium to get this twisted caudex? It would be really helpful and I don't see anyone teaching that online.

    • @danielcluley870
      @danielcluley870 Před 2 lety

      So it helps starting with an already funky/twisted caudex, and replant and let it grow to the sun. You can train with wires (which this channel shows a lot), but that can also scar the plant if done incorrectly and also make it a bit un-natural. This particular plant was probably repotted many times with twisting of the roots, training/pruning and leaning it over.
      It takes a LOT of time and dedication to make it look like that (and knowledge/skill).

    • @danielcluley870

    • @WeareTheBonsaiSupply
      @WeareTheBonsaiSupply  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey Dave, Thank you for your kind words! The reason why I repotted it into the same pot is because I don't want it to get any bigger. When the trees get to a certain stage you want to work on ramification etc. and no longer on thickening the trunk.
