They normally make such new web for hunting purposes at sunset and destroy/abandon it before the next sunrise. This process repeats everyday.. There are very few varieties who stay on the same web for more than 24 hours. 🤔

The spiders that make these webs are called orb-weaver spiders, they are nocturnal so they are not on their web during the day, only at night to catch bugs. This was recorded during the day, so the spider was simply hiding in a leaf or somewhere nearby waiting for night to come so it can go back on its web. They rebuild them within a few hours, so all is good 👍

I think it has to do with how thick the web is like we can see it so well, it normally when I spider has just spun their web, the silk is so thin you cannot see the web unless in a specific light

Orb weaver webs are absolutely stunning. I don't like spiders, but these guys I am okay with. They will take down their webs every night, consume it, and rebuild them. Juveniles subside mostly on webbing. That web was 100% abandoned, as they very rarely reuse a web. They're all over here in GA.
I had a bunch in my garden and I watched them for months. They use the webs in the day time when they’re sleeping. They sometimes reuse them if the web isn’t too beat up
