Magnificent! Now we've lost both Jon Hendricks and Al Jarreau, but this video will keep their talents alive forever!
And this, ladies and gentleman, was why the Internet was created.
Absolutely timelessly agreed ❤️💯👌🏻
RIP Jon Hendricks and Al Jarreau.
Thank You Mr Hendricks, RIP
This is America. This is world-wide. This is what it's all about.
:D :D
Thank you so much: the three genius and a brilliant orchestra! What a perfect match !
What a marvellous piece of forward thinking and performing art, which will have even sharp cats revving the hot car to catch up to a vanishing future. Luckily, modern life preserves the otherwise ephemeral, and delicate and fragile. This is devious, good, friendly, masterly, co-operative art. the real reason for breathing and thinking at all.
Jhon Hendricks was Al Jerreau's idol. How good to see both singing together
This IS jazz
Al Jarreau brought me here. RIP
Art,the best music of the world,it can only be jazz, always, meeting of genious!!!!

Amazing.
This is Largely based on the Al Hibler/Count Basie version.

Ahh! Bart Van Lier on the trombone, such a sweet guy. real jazz cat
'de 71 jarige Al Jarreau' is as young as ever!
If, someday, my children are asking me what jazz is about, i show this video to them.
Wow!
RIP Al Jarreau. Jon Hendricks is still ticking at 95 years old as of February 14, 2017
That's amazing!
Awwwwwwwww Shit!!!! Diggin!
Kurt Elling and the conductor look so exhausted, because they have to control those two jazz-masters who are free as birds. lol
Who is that nice dude on trombone?
awesome solo
Bart van Lier (born 1950 in Haarlem, Netherlands). Here is an interview with English subtitles czcams.com/video/hkcDEZslg70/video.html

Ó
please elling heard a little beat more with henndricks and be the schollar and let them be your teachers
I love Kurt to death! ......but what the heck is this? I know he loves these Guys. So do I, but not all together.
Sometimes "musicale ménage à trois" is little bit too crowdy, you're right, but I also understand Kurt's jazz dream to take all of them on stage 🤗
This remains absolutely incredible! I LOVE IT!
@@waynefoote3781 I don't even remember writing this 11 years ago. It's ok, but Kurt Elling and Al Jarreau's 'Take Five' duet is one of the best I've ever heard.
@@MimiKeel Yes....Thank you for your response. I will definitely check that out. however I just love this get together, you can see how much it means to all 3 of these incredible singers, This performance to me is beautifully improvised and has a lot of heart. I love it. We all have our own thoughts on things. I appreciate it Mimi,Thanks again.
@@lilackey When there are these pioneers it really does matter though. I love this performance!
of course elling is black painted white ...
sorry but, i preffer to hear Al Jarreau in the front line !!! my opinion !
I don't appreciate Elling's energy in the middle of Jon and Al.
Every musician there
was cringing
You have not been to many concerts with orchestra members. That is how they always look as they are sitting and reading music, being unresponsive
don't like it
