Is this Retro Zartan the Best?

- In this video I review the GI Joe Retro Zartan. This is a Walmart exclusive and can only be purchased from there and Hasbro Pulse. I’ll look at the articulation, paint, accessories and compare him to the other 2 Classified Zartan’s and the original O-Ring.

I loved that mask as a kid. It was my favorite part of the figure after the color change.
I loved in the commercial he had the mask on dragging his vehicle and they still didn’t know it was him 😂
@@Apunkwithtoys LOL I remember that. It was the 1980s -- perhaps we just aren't old enough to remember the time that Zartans costume was something everyone was wearing on swamp skiers so it was plausible that it wasn't Zartan but some bearded dude.

The "retro" is more like "cartoon accurate". Thanks for the review. Seems like even though its the dame mild, it looks like its holding up better than the BAT.
That’s the thing, some are and some aren’t. Gung Ho and Lady Jaye are a complete redo of the O-Ring while the Commando Snake Eyes is too. Destro in the other hand is more like the cartoon. Sadly it seems like there want that much rhyme or reason in this line 🤷🏻♂️

His head gear is called a tea towel. Funny that the SDCC knife was stiffer, but his rifle is flimsy and never goes straight. 😂 love the detail on the retro carded knife. Shoulder pads = pauldron. The monkey paw and snake head only came with the original version. Also the pistol has a hook on the end that will fit on his belt.
That sniper pisses me off. Someone else mentioned the monkey paw and snake head but it’s been so long I forget it didn’t come with him, also explains why I couldn’t find a second set with him 😂
I like the color better but not enough difference for me to replace what I got on my shelf. I’m rolling with the classified version.
Great vid, thanks! Earlier today I picked up a couple of retro cardback Storm Shadows on clearance...yup, clearance...at our local Walmart. Not sure why they were clearaned. Only $12.98 (i think .98, might have been .94 or something.)
I don’t understand how Walmart or Target do things at times but always happy when I see someone that gets a great deal 💪🏼

This retro zarton is a good figure. I like the lighter color of him and all of the retro figures. I wished he a few more weapons. Overall good figure and good video sir.

Mine came in from Pulse the other day too, I gotta say I love it a bit more then the OG release for me and I love the OG but man this deco hits for me big time.
I don't think there's a monkeypaw with the Master Of Disguise version. Those two little accesories are only on the original Classified release.
Basically there's one version based on the original action figure, one based on the comic and one based on the cartoon. You got to have them all...
You’re right, it’s been a long time since I did the review on color changing Zartan and I forgot he didn’t come with those. It now explains why I couldn’t find them around that Zartan when I went to grab him for the review 😂
I like the figure but this version mixed with SDCC master of disguise extras and a corrected color change in the sunlight not the freezer 🙄 would have been the way to go.
I still like the Master of Disguise version best. It's that silver, just like the backpack on this version, it just pops.

Great looking fig, can't wait to get mine. I ordered from Walmart but I believe they got delayed. Hopefully they come through and my order doesn't get canceled, Walmart is scary like that.
This Zartan looks very cool because looks like the cartoon version man... I have the Hasbro pulse exclusive and I prefer the looks on this one. I need to get it in my hands... Still waiting to be deliver to me💡
Not a stand user, either. Almost forty figures standing on shelves, & no falls unless someone accidentally jostles the bookshelf. Hard, lol.
I only use stands for photo posing.
Figure with smaller feet need then at times, but almost all my figures are standing without them. So many people complain “my figures always fall”, they probably having all their figures standing straight up in an “erect” pose. I teed that up for someone….

How could G.I. Joe fans not love Zartan? I additionally like his two siblings - his brother Zandar, and his sister Zarana (I’m aware Zartan’s figure was a *driver*, hence boxed, with the Dreadnok Chameleon Swamp Skier). Needless to say, Zarana is sister of both Zartan AND Zandar.
I ended up sending a majority of my figs to my nephews...because of the price hike and the new "no wepons" or "no plastic display" and...again...price hike
Mine arrived last week and I actually like him better than the first release Zartan. The retro colors pop while the other two are muted and the scc is more of the comic book version.
Yeah I like mine and wasn't expecting Walmart to send mind after they canceled my order last year✨
