Battlefield is my favorite Brigadier story. And I love that they canonized Kate as a legacy character. I hope one day we get to meet her son Gordon and his sibling.
I've watched this at least half a dozen times since discovering it this morning. So many feels. I really should watch Terror of the Zygons again. It was a real treat seeing the Brigadier don the kilt.
It's funny, I was a Stargate fan before I was a Doctor Who fan. As much as I love Jack O'Neill, I'm afraid he won't become the legend that the Brigadier did. The Brigadier commands so much respect that his rank is automatically capitalized and used to identify him over his name; just like the Doctor. Whereas everyone just calls Jack by his first or last name, not his rank (granted, it changed a lot over the course of the show).
AtarahDerek The Brigadier and Jack O'Neill are two of my favourite Sci-Fi characters ever. I deeply love both Doctor Who and Stargare, but I think you're right.
Love this! Such a shame the Brigadier never made an appearance in New Who before Nicholas Courtney died. Would have loved it, but at least he made an appearance in the Sarah Jane Adventures, I guess!
The brigadier organises an operation the stop the master when he has took over a prison using the prisoners and having jo and the doctor captive. Alistair is a very smart man
I love this! What a wonderful tribute to this amazing character and actor.
