I thought that too, but from what we've seen in this video/episode, it's probably just his imagination
Edit: thinking about that... it's kinda sad... actually, he seems pretty happy with his life, or imagination, but it's not all happy, he "lost" Rocky, got homeless "reviving" Rocky, a "robot" destroyed his tiny cardboard house... "took"(?) an "abandoned"(?) house for himself and Rocky during the apocalypse, got in balloon jail... and he still moved on and is still happy, or trying to be happy. Damn, now that's a good lesson.
That explanation has some holes, though, like how did he get a new proper house? He could've just moved off of his first house *thinking* it was destroyed. But how did he get a new house in the "apocalypse"?... looking at his list from the video/episode, it had things like "get money", "giving Rocky a walk" and "get a tan"... if we stretch it a bit, we could say that taking of his imagination filter, he was thinking about his job ("get money") and some rude/scary/aggressive/AllOfThese customer (that person that threatened him to lower the price of his fish, gave money for one fish and stole the rest) so he figured he needed a vacation ("get a tan"), and *maybe* he accepted work somewhere else after the vacation, and that's why he got a new house (his 3rd one), *or* he just wanted a new house and that's why he was thinking about his job (and the customer, which made him want a vacation), *or* he got a house for the vacation.
