Sleep, sunshine, proper nutrition, and exercise-that's a few I heard them use at a SDA facility years ago.

This information is extremely helpful and the tips usable; however, the large majority of individuals can’t access the lifesaving, research-based program that Nedley offers which identifies and targets the root of one’s mental health struggle. The program is incredibly expensive and many individuals struggling with mental illness or substance use aren’t candidates for various reasons. I’d love to see the SDA church target mental health as a whole and make this assessment and treatment program accessible for all who are committed to improving their mental health 🙏💖.
Thank you IIW for educating on mental heath!

As a Christian nurse who worked in Behavioral/Mental Health for 25 years, Christ heals mental and emotional dysfunction because these conditions interfere with our salvation. Surrendering oneself to God, praying, and studying the Scriptures is our active part in the Plan of Redemption. We must have a faith-based relationship with Christ. The Scriptures reveal that Jesus will heal every mental diagnosis and trauma because that is who He is. It is our faith that determines whether or not we are healed. Do you believe that Jesus can heal you? Then pray in faith. Study the Bible every day. Humans cannot heal! Therapeutic interventions are secondary to the power of God.
