    I’ve been happily living and teaching in korea for 3 years now. I love it and I save about R16000 to R17000 per month. I’m happily engaged to my American fiancé. Don’t be afraid to take that leap of faith.

    I’m currently teaching English in China, and I can gladly say this was 1 of the best decisions of my life. The lifestyle I can now afford here, would have taken time in SA. I’m pretty sure acquiring most things would’ve been financed through debt. Seek opportunities outside of SA loves ♥️

      you're definitely right about that babe. I started in China in 2019 and I was very unhappy there. I then decided to move to the Middle East, I'm much happier this side but doing this requires one to be very thick skinned considering the fact that you're leaving everything you know and what you're used to, to start a new life. There's a lot of adjustments to make regarding the culture. Home sickness kicks after some time, especially when there were travel restrictions. There's a to consider but this is a great opportunity especially for the unemployed graduates at home. Ow and the salaries are higher in the The Middle East as well.

      @senadlamini4 Před 2 lety +4

      @@khethukuthulasibiya154 I would speak about myself, I have no complete qualifications and most of the people here do not have either. You must be good in English and have experience in hospitality/costumer service. Most companies here will give you a return ticket home once a year or once in 2 years, accommodation, meals at work, medical aid and transportation this is all free. As a junior you would share the room but as you grow you get your own room or apartment if In supervisor or management position.
      No tax. You get your money as is. If you are smart, you will save most of it coz you are already getting basic needs.
      Basic will be about 9k (depending of which country you land in - I’m in Bahrain 🇧🇭) plus tips and commission which varies month to month depending on how the business is. You can get up to 15k a month excluding tips - for most junior positions.
      This is all in restaurants.

    When you compare it to South Africa, China pays well. However, when you compare it to other markets, it's actually cheap labor and a raw deal. I speak as a seasoned expatriate teacher with experience in the Gulf (Middle East) South East Asia and Central Asia. In all those countries, my rent, education allowance for dependence, transport to work or allowance, medical aid, electricity and water were paid for and I a take home higher than entrance level doctors in SA. Although the difference is usually that China will generally hire those with other degrees other than teaching and under pay them while I worked at international schools that only hired qualified teachers. I would advice would be teachers to get their PGCE if they don't have a B.Ed and apply to countries like Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Brunei in South East Asia over China.

      The quality of life is higher in those countries as well, as opposed to China. Most westerners won't even recieve the kind of Hukou that would allow them to see the real china. And it's better off to consider Taiwan if someone truly wants to experience Chinese culture.

    With so much unemployment in SA, I definitely urge graduates to look into different avenues for employment; such as those that have been highlighted on the show in the past couple of weeks. Of course, like the ladies mentioned, do your research! I can’t stress this enough. It’s not all frills and thrills, but it’s definitely such an eye-opening and enriching experience to travel and live abroad (especially in homogeneous countries like China and South Korea).

You can look into South Korea as they are recruiting and that’s done through EPIK Program and TALK. Search them on google and visit their websites for more information.
