no doubt, that was a tremendous fight. i thought for a moment that minotaur would be able to make a comeback for the fight, but sawblaze was able to make use the battle box against its opponent very well during the whole fight. i wish both could continue.
The tables turned so many times in that fight that the table is now classified as a full-bodied-spinner.

I am in awe of the engineering prowess on display this season. When bots can burst into flames and just keep coming back for more, it really says something about the designers and builders. Can't wait for next season!

Redundant batteries and internal compartments to contain the fire to one battery. You saw smoke coming from the second battery near the end which was lead to its defeat.
@@SpencerHHO Maybe, but I'm suspecting a loss of battery capacity. When one bank catches fire, the remaining battery doesn't have enough to go the distance.
Black Dragon really impressed in the finals two years back, spending 2.5 minutes of the match on fire and still winning in the end. Perhaps it's a Targaryen.
Easily one of the best fights in all of BB history. That loss hurt as a Minotaur fan, so so close to the best comeback ever, but I can’t be mad. Sawblaze is a unique bot that is driven so well, and it deserves the nut
Minotaur really is the comeback master, very good at winning by endurance and spirit a lone. Was a gut wrencher of a match
This was a great fight, and Minotaur really fought back and had Sawblaze on the ropes after being on the back foot themselves!
Such a hard loss for minotaur. They have truly proven themselves to be hardy, destructive and absolutely resilient, but Jamison's driving ability and his utilisation of an opponent's weapon against them is marvelous driving.
i think the only problem of minotaur was the durability

Both Jamison Go and Daniel Freitas knew they had the fight of their lives after it ended. Brilliant match!
I think Daniels fight of his life was probably the cobalt fight, he was literally exhausted after that one. But yeah this was an epic brawl, just wish minotaur survived

SawBlaze absolutely deserved all of its success this season, the design of the bot only works with an excellent driver and Jamison Go delivered some of the best driving I've ever seen. And his team did great work getting the bot to run so well and making modifications to increase their chances in their matches.
Yeah, a bot like SawBlaze can lose on just a single driving mistake. As the match goes on you can see the forks lose effectiveness from getting shredded up and Minotaur was really starting to make a comeback in the second half of the match, but it was just pure driving skill that made SawBlaze outlast the creeping damage on Minotaur from the fire.

@@ryanamburgy2791 Bunch of folks on Reddit trying to discount this win because "Minotaur would have won if it wasn't on fire!". What caused the fire, y'all? Jamison had three fights with three surgical strikes in the finale - he got Minotaur and Ribbot's battery, and 3/4 of Huge's weapon chain. The only one they would have won without that precision would have been Ribbot, so all credit in the world to SawBlaze and Jamison Go's driving.
@@benjamindavidson9567 Also don't forget the previous time Sawblaze and Minotaur went head to head, Minotaur got flipped upside down and hit in the same place by Sawblaze and also caught on fire then lol.
If RioBotz didn't want their bot on fire they should've added the same armor package on the bottom that they had on the top, but they didn't have the weight for it.
This win is 100% because SawBlaze is awesome and has very good driver/weapon operator, discounting the win because of whatever is just ignorant. This is no fluke but pure operator skill with a well designed bot.
Absolutely agree with the pick for Fight of the Week. After the night was finished, I consider this the real championship fight. What an epic fight.
The sight of seeing sawblaze's weapon go right through minitor's armor like a hot knife through butter kinda frightens me because it proves how powerful that weapon really is
Back in season 2 it was said that saws and hammersaws would never be powerful enough to be effective, and now one has won the Giant Nut.

What I love abour Minotaur, is that it's literally half the size of most other bots, yet is extremely offensive and can endure a ton of damage.

WHAT A FIGHT You can never count Daniel or minotaur out of a fight if thought they were on fire their drum still broke Sawblaze’s arm and weapon! Sad loss for Daniel but it’s always fun to watch these 2 in the box

Sawblaze's driver was truly fantastic. Minotaur would follow him behind then Sawblaze would turn 180 immediately to spoon minotaur and pin him into a wall. Seeing that blad cut through minotaur's armor was truly satisfying to watch.

I've watched this fight several times now. The recovery and driving skill of Sawblaze at 5:56 saved them the match and the nut. If they hadnt landed on their wheels it would have been game over.
I held my breath when Sawblqze went airborne. That landing determined the match.

This season might be the best Minotaur ever looked at. Number one seed and their loss was after a hard-fought battle with the eventual champion.
This was a true final material.
Even though I'm a fan of Minotaur, I can't really be sad with Minotaur losing after giving such an epic performance while on fire. SawBlaze definitely deserved the win but it was really close. Unfortunately, the vital hit was delivered early. *Minotaur will get the nut the next season.*

If Minotaur had caught fire just 10 seconds later, they could've swung a JD in their way. Definitely one of the most even, back-and-forth fights of all time.
They really can last alot longer on fire then most other bots yes I.m looking at fusion. This episode was awesome the top seeds going pretty early was a surprise but was reallly glad for how good huge was this season.
@@karlos666uk2 Huge worked great this season due to the lack of horizontal weapons, which is a huge vulnerability.

This fight was incredible. On re watch I didn’t realise just how close it was. Two or three times after sawblazes weapon broke they were so close to rolling onto their backs and getting stuck. Fantastic match from both sides..both teams win or lose are one of the most entertaining machines to watch
Sawblaze's traction is just insane. Minotaur is known for pushing his opponents to the corners, yet they couldn't stand that much pressure...
Weapons-wise, sawblaze just had a hard time mid-battle, if Minotaur didn't lose power, that could be it for sawblaze.

I've absolutely loved this whole season of Battlebots, and the final show was truly epic. Glad a novel design like SawBlaze won.
Best season of the show, hands down. No major RESULT controversies, no boring fights in the tournament, plenty of upsets, a new champion, and the closest finals match of the reboot.
Unfortunately Minotaur died at 6:10 when electronics failed due to the fire (you can see the drum stopping). It was really close, but Jimo was cirurgical, again. Best fight of the season, seconded by Minotaur vs Cobalt.

minotaur can win if Jamison did not upgrade to a solid rubber wheel with plastic side armor. minotaur got a good hit with sawblaze wheel while being tilted but it still driving well

Well now the season is over. it was a great season. But... everytime a season ends its depressing because we all know we have to wait essentially a whole year for the next.

Since Bounty Hunters they film some kind of secondary competition with bots who didn't compete in the ro16 so I imagine there will be a pause before they air the rest of it, but not for a whole year.

This is the closest knockout I have seen yet. Minotaur almost had this one and might have won had it lasted another 20 or so seconds. Brilliant fighting by both.
If it goes to decision I'm pretty sure Sawblaze still wins.

32 bot tournament was epic this year and though I'm a big fan of huge sawblaze was incredible as was his driving
Such an amazing fight prob my favorite fight of the season, the atmosphere at the taping was nuts. Really happy for ja mo going all the way and winning after all this time, but Minotaur is due next I can’t wait for when they win the nut

Good Lord what a f*****g epic fight, kicking off the finale between Sawblaze and Minotaur and making it a proper slug-fest. Until Minotaur succumbed to the damage it took, but a great battle regardless.

I seriously thought Minotaur was going to snag a somewhat easy win because of how ridiculous those low profile bots can get after it with speed and weapon. Plus they are crazy agile. I was so wrong. Definitely one of the coolest fights.
THIS was a really great fight indeed! Somehow, better than the original fight from Season 6, which was already a fantastic fight! Jamison Go is such a precision master in the Grand Final. From this, to Ribbot, to HUGE in grands, which is the greatest grand final in the reboot series! SawBlaze has really come so far from its Round 1 controversial lost to Razorback in Season 2 in 2016. Well, deserved, champion!👏

It looks like Minotaur's spinning drum was providing enough airflow to keep it cool and running. Once the drum stopped the whole bot cooked itself. So happy to see a non-vertical spinner win the championship this year
