Overview of the DW 5000 Accelerator kick pedal. The pedal that changed music forever. This legendary pedal is still the preferred choice for drummers of all styles of music.
I didn't realize the pedal came with rubber protection on the clamp and I bought a hoop protector pad lol. Also, thank you so much for demonstrating how to adjust the spring tension, I was completely lost until I found your vid and got to czcams.com/video/lwAw89CB2Cc/video.html . You rock!!
The Tama pedals do in fact have rubber pads on the mounting clamp. Question: I'm using a DW 5000 pedal at my rehearsal space that doesn't belong to me. The screw that holds the heel plate to the base is missing. Any idea what size screen I need for that?
If you have OCD the beater being a good inch and a half off-center is going to bother you. I'm sure the sound difference is negligible, but I definitely know a lot of dudes that don't like that off-centered beater.
I just bought one used for a $100 bucks in mint condition. I am psyched right now

Get a hold of DW customer service, they will help you out. Had the same problem, called and asked, they sent me stuff for free.
Are some of the allen(?) screws intentionally so tight they are almost impossible to open? -- Greets from Finland, East of Sweden.
Yes I can’t get mine loosened either.
Wait... I can get a direct drive for the 5000 instead of shelling out for a direct drive pedal or fabing up a direct drive so I can stick w my 5000?
How is there no info on changing pedal board height?
It’s Neil “PeeRt”

It is not called memory lock.
The DW instructions call it a memory lock. lol
