    Just got back from Fuerteventura. It was by far the best trip I've ever had. I'm still completely stunned by the landscapes and the weather and the whole vibe. Visiting Antigua was the highlight. The cheese museum there and the cactus garden were incredible. I also walked from Antigua to a few other villages on my way to Corralejo. The views were stunning and I discovered a few little gems here and there that were not in any guide. My advice for Fuerteventura: just explore and always try to go off a beaten track, you will always get rewarded with something amazing

    This was THE most informative video on Feurteventura I have ever seen! I've only ever really seen some resorts and a few volcanic pics, so have never really been interested in going myself but, holy cow the landscape looks incredible & your shots have once again peaked my interest haha! (p.s. "rock carpet" definitely makes sense in my mind 🤣 ) x

      Haha thanks so much Chelsey :D There's definitely bits of the island that are super touristy / stag-do central, but the more remote parts are so so beautiful!

    What I really most from FV is the sunset from most sides of the island. El Cotillo and La Concha beach is one spot absolutly relaxing. Dessert inmersion in Jandía Istmo Natural Park crossing from east side to west side and reaching Amanay beach, a bit dangerous to reach beach but 100% wild.

    Dear Eliska & Jack. A lot of goodies thanks. My fam visited Fuerte also in 2018. Made a great impression on us too, we're going back this summer. Must see's for me are definitely Ajuy where you feel the soul of deceased pirates all around, the black sands of Gran Tarajal, probably the town closest to North African culture, with lost of social movement in the evening and further some great surfing (wave and wind within a few miles, where can you have this?) in La Pared, and beautiful Costa Calma and Risco El Paso. Like you say, too much. Strange thing, I've heard people finding it a bit of a dull island... . They must have missed the soul, I guess. Greets and love, OKAL

      @WeFilmThings  Před 4 lety

      Thanks so much for sharing your favourite spots! We will definitely add them to the list for our trip back as we haven't been to all of the ones you mentioned. I think people find it dull because it's not flashy - its beauty and excitement is much more raw and subtle than a lot of places, and in the world of instagram holidays we're not used to that anymore!

    Hi, How did you pick Fuerteventura over the other Islands ? Planning on trip, but don't know which Canary Island to pick, very confused. Have you been to Tenerife as well ? Thanks

    • @WeFilmThings
      @WeFilmThings  Před 4 lety +1

      Michael OConnor hi Michael, it depends on what you are looking for from your holiday! I’ve been to Tenerife as well - it’s beautiful but quite different. We chose Fuerteventura because it feels slightly more “off the beaten track”. It’s less touristy and less busy, especially if you don’t stay in a resort. Tenerife landscapes are quite different too even though it’s volcanic, it’s a bit greener and I’d say the landscapes will look more familiar to you if you’re European, whereas Fuerteventuran landscapes are slightly more North Aftrican. Fuerteventura is the windiest of the Canary Islands, so if you’re into any wind sports then this is the island for you (I also picked it for the surfing). The beaches are also more vast (but v windy!). I’m sure you’ll have a great time no matter where you go though, but worth doing research on the specific activities you like doing on holiday and seeing which island is best for them. Hope that helps!:)

    Actually its not always that windy. In the summer its windy but in autumn for example its really hot and not THAT windy. In the Winter its a bit cooler about 25°C and sometimes a bit more cloudy that in autumn☺️
    But still a very good and informative Video👍

      We always Visit my grandparents in october, its one of the hottest months there and only a bit windy. We always have around 30-35°C and a light breeze, it actually doesnt feel like its that hot. Try to go to costa calma maybe we'll see each other😊 you can actually even rent a bungalow there, my grandparents and my Parents have a few relativly close to the beach, about 10 Minutes to walk. Its ab bit more quiet there than in jandia or puerto del Rosario. And the people there are really nice. We have many friends there After 12 years of going there😂
