That first combo was a true work of art
As a Doomfist enthusiast, I really don't like how easy it is to get value out of Punchbotting like that Doomfist at the end. It's really feels as boring, broken, and blasphemous as the old EMPbot Sombras who tried to spam EMP as much as possible, rather than exploring the hero's capabilities and actually playing the 'character' of the hero.
I made a proof-of-concept in the workshop a while ago (which now has some improvements by WetHarmonica - he wanted to apply it to Project OW :D) that made it so the wall impact damage from Rocket Punch is reduced the further away you are from the wall when punched into it. So if you're 0m away from a wall and get punched into it, you take 100 damage from Rocket Punch and 150 damage from the wall impact. But if you're 10m away from the wall, you would take 100 from RP and 50 from the wall impact. There's a sharp decline at the start to really limit the one-shot potential, but it gets capped at about 150 damage minimum so that one-shotting Tracer is still possible, as that's usually a skill shot based on saving your Rocket Punch and either predicting blinks or reacting to Recall positioning.
The code is K2WHK if you wanna have a look at how that might feel.
This kind of nerf wouldn't change much about his 1v1 potential (you can still get kills off a full charge punch with 1 primary fire shot) and it wouldn't change his mobility (which is my nightmare scenario), but it would eliminate these kinds of scenarios where you get one-shot by a stray punch despite being behind a barrier, all with little effort or risk from the Doomfist. It also gives some more reactive counterplay to an ability that's mostly avoided with prophylactic counterplay, which I think would make it a bit less frustrating for the lower ranks (i.e. less "killed me before I could react" sentiment).
I could have *swore* when Doomfist launched his punch was *supposed* to have a mechanic like this. I really don't know why they haven't implemented something like it.
Doomfist is currently my absolute least favorite hero to play against, over mei and genji and tracer and even brig, because even when he *does* pull off some technically high skill maneuver, it still feels cheap as hell no matter what. I think your idea has a lot of potential and I'd like to Blizz at least *try* something similar.
Dont forget about widow and hanzo oneshot abilities because it is more broken then doom. And also about fkin huge hero hitboxes
@@deankoles9469 it takes skill to consistently headshot enemies as widow or hanzo, did you see the clip at the end? that takes 0 skill for a doom player to do that.

0:38 is by far the best Sombra play I’ll ever see, even better than the EMP/ pile-drive/ anti-nade combo imo! That’s like something I would never think of doing, especially as a GM!

Also, I love the second play, but seeing it from the other team's perspective, as well, triples just how great this play was and that clip should have been included.
Additionally.... Nano'd Sombra is seriously the most satisfying sounding nano.
I'm gonna stop with the openers, the Genji at 308 and the amplified cough sound cracked me up, the bayblading orisa was hilarious because like.... who expects an orisa to bayblade? And just idk this was a really good video.

this is one of my most favorite fitzy weekly's to date. a mix of great plays and great editing, that "annoy sleepy" bit, and just a pinch of chipsa shade. i love it
