There is a difference between having a writer write you a new joke AND copying jokes a comedian has already said on stage.

Not "commissioned from a writer", REUSED FROM PREVIOUS ROASTS! which you would KNOW if you'd actually listened to the full pod OR if you even watched or cared about comedy, which you dont.

There's also a difference between paying a writer to write jokes and taking them without permission. If Gottmik had paid Nikki Glaser to write her set there wouldn't be an issue. (And she probably would have killed and won.)

I get it from your perspective like if everyone has ghostwritters why wouod you even bother, but the producers should forbid that or we should just get rid of the challenge...Like I'd rather see someone bomb entirely like Farrah Moan. Also you can tell who didn't write their stuff because we already know your humor, and it affects the episode itself...Mik did so much better in season 13 in the roast and the season 13 roast was miles better than this one ☠️

I really think people are blowing this out of proportion. Like Mik said, everyone uses jokes they didn't write (yet only Mik is getting blow back for it so that's a double standard). Also, I'd get it if it were like a stand up comedy special or a talk show Mik had and was getting directly paid for or something but this is a reality TV show where this season they are literally playing for charity; it's not that serious.
@@artluver94c I think the difference that people are getting caught up on is that the other queen’s jokes were written specifically for them for the show and Mik’s were taken from something that was already on tv. Idrc about the situation but I think that’s the reasoning people have

It's not the same. Mik stole a set that had already been told by a very famous comedian, and Plastique paid someone to write her jokes (something drag queens and celebrities do, it's not seen as bad practice). One is plagiarism, the other is outsourcing.
@@Daniel-ui3zyit's definitely difficult for the other girls to keep up with her personal budget but they did get a wardrobe stipend this season, and given the quality of her looks (including the dress she made), I'm not mad at plastique
